It is all over LSU but it’s flu season.

Makes sense…we have been locked down and wearing masks for the past two years. Now neither is true.
This right here and the 32 frickwads who think this makes sense is what's wrong with the country. The CDC has already come out and said that the tests were faulty and popped positive on everything. This past October, a new covid test was released (and now we have Omicron... but I wont get into that) and the flu came back. This isn't hard.

it is freaking exploding here in the Thibodaux / Houma area.
Flu will be bad this year and will kill more people than Covid.
I wonder how much of this is because there was "no flu" last year so the CDC swung and missed on this years flu vaccine.
Government continuing to frick up at every turn at our expense

Yes and I am in on it. Don’t you know that? My ER is but a spoke of a large wheel all of those positive flu samples that I threw away and made covid + under the cover of night.
All the new X-ray readings I’ve seen “Covid pneumonia concern. Patchy ground glass opacities scattered bilaterally. “ all bullshite. Radiologists were in on it too.
Waiting for my check from my overlords.

Everyone was told not to go to the doctor and we didn't have OTC flu tests. A lot more than 3000 people got the flu. I think my girlfriend I got it. Both has 101 fevers for a couple of days, body aches, the runs etc. Didn't last too long and I think it was more than just a cold. Negative Covid tests both the crappy one and the PCR or whatever the more accurate one is called came back negative.

All of the restrictions we had last year (masking, social distancing, and schools mostly virtual) are pretty big mitigation factors for the flu.
But somehow, does nothing on the rona.
Riiiiiiight.

This is pretty common sense.
The CDC specifically said the PCR test could not distinguish between corona and the flu. They set a Dec 31st deadline to quit using that test, and began using one that can distinguish
Many facilities have already started using the newer tests, and guess what? Flu is back kicking arse

After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives.

That's how my doc explained it.
Get a new doctor. Yours is stupid. Or a liar.

The numbers were down in part due to ER docs forgoing flu screenings and going straight to Covid screening . I have zero doubt that there was a crapload of undiagnosed flu out there in the past couple of seasons.

I have zero doubt that you are mistaken.

They didn’t say this at all. Stop lying. You lack reading comprehension.
They said they recommend labs use a test that looks for COVID and Flu. Not just COVID.
They don’t want doctors testing for COVID only because they are worried they will miss a lot of flu cases then need to come back and test for flu again. This puts more stress on the labs by creating more samples I.e. more work.

You can repeat this all you want but it doesn’t make it true.

Covid and the Flu are both a hoax

Masking and our version of “social distancing” where you pretend to do something but go to the gas station and walmart 17 times a week didn’t mitigate the flu. It somehow completely “mitigated” the flu but didn’t do anything for Covid right?

Because it dropped from 10s of millions to less than 3000. The polices in place were 99.9% effective against the flu?
I guess you don't do math? There is this thing called the Reproductive Factor. It is typically between 1 and 2 for flus. If social distancing cuts it in half it will be less than 1 AND IT WILL DISAPPPEAR. That doesn't mean it's 99.9% effective; it means it's 50% effective.
I can't make you understand this, but maybe 5% of the readers will.
