Too bad I'm old. Monroe County (FL) S.O. seems like it would be awesome.

Tons of traffic detail I would imagine. I’ve been to the keys 3 times this year and it’s solid traffic from Key Largo to Key West.

$5000 to be a cop in FL isn't going to entice a lot of folks. They'd need to sweeten the pot substantially.

I mean everyone in Chicago dreams of retiring to FL anyway, so it wouldn't surprise me if they get some candidates.

You understand the concept that not only are they saying that they wont hound you or fire you for choosing to take your personal health personally, but they're willing to give you $5k as a gesture?

There are people losing their jobs over medical tyranny.

Some of yall left the mask on too long

Basically a relocation allowance for those who want to continue their careers in LE instead of losing them all together…

On the one hand you could stay in a city that more or less hates you and wants to rule over your life.

On the other you can take a $5,000 stipend and move to a city that wants you and will thank you for your service.

It seems like a no brainer to me.

Stealing from the public to pay crooked cops with money. Just what we needed. But I'm sure the "I prefer small gubberment" guys won't be hypocrites.

They're already getting a paycheck.

They aren't asking for people to move there and become police officers. They're asking for people who are already police officers to move there.

They're giving police officers $5k to move. I wouldn't move down the street for $5k.

The OP is referencing that the cops are going to be fired for not getting the vaccine. Desantis is calling for them to come to Florida to work. He’s offering $5000, a job, and they don’t have to get vaccinated. And they are losing there jobs elsewhere due to not getting vaccinated.

It’s a win, win, win.

So in your world Rep. Ilhan Omar is a small government conservative because she wants to defund the police.

Police agencies all over the nation are offering incentives when recruiting LEO'S.

There is a big shortage of LEO'S that is getting worse and worse.

And hiring pools are shite.

What does this have to do with what I originally said?
Did I mention defunding the police? No.
Did I mention that Ilhan Omar is an advocate of small, "conservative" government? No.

The original topic was about them stealing from the public treasury and paying off crooked cops. How many claim to favor "small government" but then support government interference, so long as it is what they want.
You then brought up a an argument that deviates from what I said.

Also, you're playing into a false dichotomy, assuming I'm in favor of Democrats or Republicans. I'm not. Both are spooks from the peerage.

If a tax payer doesn't want their taxes going to the police, I support that. Just like if a tax payer doesn't want their money going to abortion clinics, I support that.

In fact, you never disproved my point. Congrats, you just played yourself.

You mean the same leadership that accepted shut downs, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates, over a hoax meant to drain the public treasuries, push a vaccine agenda, and enrich the likes of Gates, Fauci, and other high (((peerage))) spooks. Republicans and Democrats have always been crooks.

You're a misguided pleb who supports a fascist status quo - which also pretends to be liberal, even though liberalism died in the 1880s, when Marx - agent of the industrialists, was enlisted to splinter and destroy genuine worker's movements.
Never mind that he was related to the Philips and Pressburg families, industrialists controlling "communism" from the very beginning. Read up on his wife. She's from high peerage as well.

Sorry that I choose to not support a crooked government that lies to us daily and that I don't salute a flag based off the East India Trade Company, of whom the founding fathers were allied with.
