On the one hand you could stay in a city that more or less hates you and wants to rule over your life.
On the other you can take a $5,000 stipend and move to a city that wants you and will thank you for your service.
It seems like a no brainer to me.

The OP is referencing that the cops are going to be fired for not getting the vaccine. Desantis is calling for them to come to Florida to work. He’s offering $5000, a job, and they don’t have to get vaccinated. And they are losing there jobs elsewhere due to not getting vaccinated.
It’s a win, win, win.

Police agencies all over the nation are offering incentives when recruiting LEO'S.

Did I mention defunding the police? No.
Did I mention that Ilhan Omar is an advocate of small, "conservative" government? No.
The original topic was about them stealing from the public treasury and paying off crooked cops. How many claim to favor "small government" but then support government interference, so long as it is what they want.
You then brought up a an argument that deviates from what I said.
Also, you're playing into a false dichotomy, assuming I'm in favor of Democrats or Republicans. I'm not. Both are spooks from the peerage.
If a tax payer doesn't want their taxes going to the police, I support that. Just like if a tax payer doesn't want their money going to abortion clinics, I support that.
