Looks like the OT was right after all.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto on Wednesday announced the termination of a deputy who admitted using the department's Flock automated-license plate recognition system to search the license plate belonging to his former fiancée "several thousand times" over the course of several years.
The deputy, who was identified by the department as Nathan Rome, is not facing any criminal charges, such as cyberstalking, after the fiancée declined to make a criminal complaint. Officials said the fiancée told investigators she was aware of the searches and that she did not consider herself a victim.
"She was aware that he was doing it. She gave us a statement that she was aware that he was doing it," Lopinto said Wednesday. "There was no history of domestic violence between the two, no stalking incidents."

The Sheriff's Office became aware of Rome's actions Monday when they were contacted by a national media outlet inquiring about possible inappropriate use of the Flock system by an employee, according to the department.
The Sheriff's Office opened an internal investigation into the matter and discovered that Rome had accessed the Flock camera system for personal use.

Isn't this just what people do when they have the power to spy on people?

He's also a local club DJ

This might be the bigger issue. What do you mean you aren’t tracking how your department members access Flock data?

If they don't track it then how can they be responsible?
On a side note, this is what investigative journalism looks like. Great stuff. Now we need all the idiots who think shoving a cell phone camera in a local officials face just to "audit" them is journalism to see this and start doing it instead.

Flock + smart phones + AI data centers = electronic prison state

JPSO will investigate itself and find no other cops are guilty of wrongdoing.
Unless the media finds out about them.

Flock is counting this as another example that their system caught a stalker.

He should be locked up, who cares if she doesnt want to press charges, the state should charge him.

He needs to be tried and jailed. He will find another cop job.

A MESSAGE ABOUT OUR FLOCK CAMERAS
There has been a lot of discussion and misinformation shared on social media and traditional news platforms regarding the Flock brand of license plate recognition cameras. It is important to note that here in the city of Kenner, the Flock system is ONLY used as a license plate recognition camera. The city has had this technology for approximately 15 years. The Flock company has made it more user-friendly and definitely more reliable, as it is self-sufficient and doesn’t rely on Entergy or Cox Cable.
