Nobody is against the idea of the space force but I think you’re misunderstanding what it is. There aren’t going to be military guess flying spaceships. It’s just gonna be managing satellites and things like that. It’ll still be good for space development but mainly is just consolidating what already exists in the other branches

The only thing I don't like about the Space Force is the name itself... Just sounds childish and simplistic. But so does Air Force and we're all used to it now so no big deal.

Yup- really if it was presented clearly as what it is, most would be totally fine.
The clumsy and seemingly whimsical context made it seem sillier than it is to most watching

Nixon scrapped the apollo program. So basically space travel has been fricked by pretty much every Republican (and Democrat) in office since. Reagan gets all the credit for our space station turning into the international space station with all his budget cuts to nasa in the 80s.

Firstly, you obviously don’t know the history of the Air Corps and how the Air Force came to be.
Secondly I’m a registered republican and voted for Trump, and will be voting for him again, but that doesn’t mean I can’t think some of his ideas/ policies are dumb. You people are just blinded by your own biases that if Trump says it then it’s great.
Thirdly as I said previously, space isn’t militarized enough to warrant an entirely different branch of service. It may very well be there one day, but it’s not there yet.
