If there are long-term effects from the vaccine, she will probably be dead of other causes before you see them arise.

A 30 year old, however...

Let's review: a huge chunk of TD users, many of whom are strong/muscular cajun and black men in healthy shape, are scared to take it.

many of you should feel bad. scared of a vaccine/shot? lmao. does your wife know about your phobia? lmao

So, people that are at very low risk from COVID don't want to be used as a guinnea pig on a rushed vaccine.

And people that are at high risk from COVID don't mind being used as a guinnea pig on a rushed vaccine.

Makes perfect sense to me.

There has been no time to determine possible long-term side effects or implications of the vaccine. There is a reason vaccines generally take years to develop. If Maggie catches COVID at 90, she's at a much higher risk than me of dying. However, in 10 years I am more likely than not going to be alive; Maggie is more likely than not going to be dead, regardless. She has far less worry about the vaccine than a younger, healthy person.

Many of us healthy, strong men recognize these crazy thing called risk factors.

We are at essentially zero risk.
A 90 year old is different.
A 90 y.o. accepting long term side effect risks etc is worth it for them.
For a 35 y.o. healthy person it's not

if you are worried about long term side effects, how can you claim you are at zero risk when we also don't know the long term side effects of COVID?

just curious

We know the long term side effects of similar viruses.

Yet we didn't know how to effectively treat COVID in the beginning.

Also we have been studying mRNA vaccines for decades.

Scruffy what will you do if your position as a doc requires it??

Never mind — saw it won't be mandated for you.
