Sorry for your loss. Good and loyal dogs are often times better companions than humans. Remember the good memories and have faith that you will see your Reesie again someday!

14.5 years? Damn, that's a long life for a big dog. It was a great life too.

Sorry for your loss.

So happy y'all had such a great time together! Some of my best memories as a kid was with my dogs and I miss them all.
Good vibes sent to you and yours. Here is our 8 year old rescue. Shes been a fine dog.

We have a Katrina rescue as well so this is sometime in our future (I think we may have a couple of years left though).

Prayers for you and your family and Godspeed to Reesie.

Had to put down my sweet girl in October after 16 years with her. One of the worst days of my life. I feel for you.

I’m not sure I would have made it through the last year without my little furry buddy. Your post was a beautiful and fitting tribute for the deep love we have for our dogs, which may be God’s best gift to mankind. Peace and acceptance to you.

Know how you feel. Many years ago a two month old chocolate lab wondered into my daughters driveway. Noah Kai became a part of the family and for many years the center of her life. Was a Help Dog for many, especially children. When his time came, it was like loosing a close relative. Thoughts with you.

Nothing on this planet is worse than having to put your fellow dog down. Nothing. Sorry for your loss. Glad you were able to give him a wonderful life. Dogs are wonderful.

I was following this dear doggie's thread all day yesterday with an extremely heavy heart...I feel for you and your family! Most difficult decision a pet owner has to make.

Sending my most heartfelt thoughts and prayers as y'all traverse this most difficult day. Thinking of you!

Reesie seemed like a perfect addition to your family. She'll continue to watch over you and your family...she won't be far!

So many dogs don't make it to a ripe old age, loved by their family.

Your Reesie has the most distinguished white highlights to her coat and face. A wise looking dog.
