TFR as calculated accounts for age-specific birth rates

Who cares

You can calculate based on income levels

Stop being so obtuse to avoid the obvious

The fertility rates at the income levels you posted do not support your point. On average, at those rates, suggest that for every 1 million person in such groups, 940,000 are not having children. That you don’t have historical context for those numbers speaks to your unfamiliarity with the subject matter, but those are some insane numbers. Why you can’t see the relation between TFR and the numbers you posted has to be willful at this point. If there was any incentive to have children do to welfare payments alone, there wouldn’t be burgeoning demographic crises in nearly every developed country.

The major, major issue is poor people and stupid people continue to pro create.

Just going off my FB.

The trashy people from my school all have 3+ kids.

The functioning people usually have 1 maybe 2. Probably only a few with more.

The dumb and poor are procreating at a far greater level than the financially well off and intelligent people.

We are seeing idiocracy unfolding before our eyes

I've always thought it strange about so many DINKs speaking about not being able to afford kids, wanting to save up enough, etc. while single mom in the government housing is having all the babies she can

Well, babies are a cash cow for one and a money pit for the other. Simple really.

Falling fertility rates mean nearly every country could have shrinking populations by the end of the century. And 23 nations - including Spain and Japan - are expected to see their populations halve by 2100. Counties will also age dramatically, with as many people turning 80 as there are being born. What is going on?

Isn’t this good news for Mother Earth

Boomers: Y’all need to pop out kids ASAP. SACRIFICE.

Everyone Else: Maybe you should’ve thought of that before you fricked us with decades long stagnant wages, pushing college with federal loans for jobs you got without one, etc.

People are marrying and having kids later in life. Or neither at all. It’s simply not necessary to have many kids like it used to be.

The Baby Boomer Die-Off (which perhaps is already starting) is going to usher in the Great Dark Age, IMO. I think it's going to be a very, very Long Night that perhaps my great-grandchildren, if my genes do survive, will only hope to emerge from.

Not Muslims.

One reason while they’ll eventually take over all of Europe. They are out breeding other races.

While Islamic birthrate triples. They have said before, they will rule the world by sheer numbers.

I have two children. It’s expensive. And me and my wife both work. So that makes things difficult to imagine raising a third as well

Inflation and cost of living has risen astronomically as it relates to raising children

I'm glad so many idots aren't reproducing.

Let the intelligent people have offspring to right the wrongs of the ignorant.

It’ll be okay. Me and my dad had this discussion last night. He told me as bad as this seems, it was nothing compared to the 60s. They had the same Marxist rhetoric then and it was louder.
