At least Ukraine got 125 million a few days ago. That'll help people repair their homes.

Since 2001, FEMA dropped into the red eight times and implemented the INF – 2003-2006, 2009-2011 and 2017.

2023 and now 2024. Basically happens every other year on average now.

I've flooded twice and had roof come off entire house in Katrina.

Never got a dime from FEMA.

Immediately get denied because of too much income. FEMA is just another welfare program.

Hope they stay broke.

Not surprised.
My SIL is currently in Texas working for FEMA until November. FEMA is paying her $55hr + perdiem.

I worked for a contractor following the flood in 2016 and saw first hand the “government waste” that you always hear about. Every contractor was ridiculously over staffed and over paid, so it’s no surprise to me that FEMA is struggling now

Well when we have a natural disaster every year it's kinda hard to keep asking for everyone else to chip in.

People need to:
-Stop buying houses in a flood zone
-don't own a house if you cant afford to maintain it
-stop thinking it's anyone else's responsibility to repair your home
