I have four girls… 23, 18, and two 16 year olds.
Miss those years… as my grandmother would say ….
“ I’m going to put a brick on your head, to stop you from growing up so fast”
I wished that really worked…

Some of you may remember my story from almost exactly 5 years ago where my newborn daughter had to have surgery at 7 weeks old to remove a cyst that was blocking her windpipe. Most of you likely don't. Either way, I've linked it below for reference. Don't worry, there is a happy ending.
I do remember that thread and posted in it at the six month update.
Congrats on not only her tooth, but also her surviving all of that bullshite from 2020 and being happy and healthy. And her growing up sucks, but the relationship will shift with that and will be something to cherish forever obviously...but man those first few years are so fricking special though. I often look back on pics of my boy and miss him at those 2/3/4 ages.
And I wonder who the a-hole is that downvoted the original thread. What a miserable person.

Great post, thanks for sharing.
I have 2 girls myself and thankfully both are happy and healthy. I have so many videos of them growing up but I almost can't bear to watch them, they just change so much so quickly. I never considered myself overly emotional but these girls....man, it's tough!

I would do anything to have my kids be that age again.
Happy for you and your family that your daughter is healthy and well.
Hug them, love them, and take photos. Then do all that even more.

Beautiful. Just be careful about posting your family's pictures and info.

Sweet girl!! Can't believe that was 5 years ago. Time is a thief and I don't care how cliche' it is to say that. I love when kids lose their baby teeth and have the toothless smiles.

Good stuff man.
It's cliche but it's true, it goes by so fast. So enjoy those moments!!!

Congrats on the first tooth milestone.
I bet you won’t be posting pics of your daughter 12-13 years from now. :)

How much did the Tooth Fairy bring that baby girl?

Love the update and remember your original post. My boys are now 7 and 3. I feel time slipping by every day. I’m a very blessed man. I really wish I could just stop time right now.

I looked back at your original post. What a beautiful post and child. We had three preemies and if that isn’t emotional enough on its own there is a surgery involved. Bless you, your daughter, wife and your family that all has turned out well.
