The concern over pets developing autism from vaccines appears to be the latest issue within the anti-vaxxer movement.

The ‘anti-vaxxer’ movement has moved beyond vaccinating children and seeped into the realm of pet vaccines, according to the Telegraph, leading the British Veterinary Association to clarify that dogs cannot get autism.

quote:

“We are aware of an increase in anti-vaccination pet owners in the US who have voiced concerns that vaccinations may lead to their dogs developing autism-like behaviour.

“But there is currently no scientific evidence to suggest autism in dogs or a link between vaccination and autism.”

The issue gained attention when the morning show Good Morning Britain tweeted a request for individuals who subscribe to the theory that their pets could develop autism

When I’m in charge, I will sterilize these fricking idiots and ban them from owning any animal.

My yellow lad was very quirky and did some strange shite... My wife was convinced he had dog autism...

But not from his vaccinations, he was just a funny dog...

This world is upside down with these type idiots. Nothing like chancing dogs running around with distemper, rabies, parvo, you name it.

And the bad thing is, the dog can't grow up and make its own mind up on vaccinations like kids can.

I would rather be autistic and fix lawnmowers for a living than die of Parvo in a pool of my own blood diarreah.

Beyond retarded.

My dog unfortunately can't get vaccines going forward because she collapsed in November with IMHA and the LSU team feels it was due to an infection from a kennel cough shot she had just gotten.. but that is a special situation. And it was moreso from how HER body reacted to either the substance or the unclean needle or whatever. Not the vaccine in general.
