So they had no idea who their target was, then? Ive seen enough movies to know they usually have pictures and such of the target plastered everywhere. To say nothing of their ID and aliases. Therefore, it could safely be implied none of these idiot eff bee eye agents thought to check any of that info against what this poor bastard had on him?

Wow.

Imagine the pilot sweating profusely, unflinchingly telling them that they have made a mistake and that he hasn't done anything, all the while the agents are thinking that their department has shelled out big bucks for an actual actor.
I'm imagining a couple hundred passengers on the next day's flight being notified their travel plans were altered d/t the scheduled pilot not getting requisite rest. Connecting flights, family reunions, business deals, hotel resys, etc. ... whoever organized the wrong room fiasco should be fired. Whoever planned a nighttime training exercise in a public hotel adjacent to families with kids trying to sleep should be fired. Both of those are inexcusably flawed.

I mean they’ve already arrested every granny present on January 6th, so they’re no longer needed.

Guys training camp is hard sometimes. You gotta blow off some steam the next day.

Imagine them doing that to a room where someone has a weapon and a shootout ensues.

The FBI needs to be done away with, like 30 years ago.

When you're interrogating a suspect you want to make them as uncomfortable as possible so they comply as quickly as possible. Standing naked, wet and cold after getting a cold shower is miserable.

Tv and movies? C’mon. They write and produce to appeal to a target demographic. Your goal should be to develop an immunity to Hollywood influence.

Why would you think the scenario involved a known target?

Trainees are also trained to expect information not described in the scripted portion of the scenario. There should be scenarios where ID and occupation don’t match.

Quite a bit was learned by trainers, trainees, and now the general public. On the spot interrogation in the shower? Why the shower? What role does water and confinement have during the innocent until proven guilty phase?

Vic Hartman, a former 25-year veteran of the FBI, said the training exercise in public does not make sense to him. "Night arrests are unusual so why would you train for a night arrest at 10 p.m.," Hartman said. "It's unusual, there could be a justification for it, it's just not apparent to me on the surface."

Vic’s probably right. This was a frickup of a real investigation and they’re saying it was a training exercise.

, FBI and Department of Defense agents banged on the door to Room 1505 demanding to be let in. A Delta Air Lines pilot who was a guest at the hotel was sleeping inside, woke up and opened the door. Agents barged in, handcuffed the man who is in his 30s, interrogated him and put him in the shower.

Imagine if he had a broad in there on a one night stand and his wife found out due to the untimely FBI raid... That'd be a bummer

Boston branch of the FBI has been notoriously corrupt forever right? No shock here they make this mistake. Delta pilot needs to get New England Gordon and get it done.

Everybody is talking about the pilot and how the FBI guys likely thought he was a great actor, which is true. But I am also curious about the dude in the actual right room. He was likely sitting there all night waiting to be interrogated and nothing ever happened.

Dude was probably preparing for that training exercise for weeks, only to just sit there watching SportsCenter for the 10th time and wondering where the hell the agents were because they never showed up.

I bet we would see less of this incompetence if we blew up qualified immunity.

This dude gonna get paid and the morons who did it won't write the check, the tax payers will s always.

If it really was a training exercise, I'd bet they never actually realized it was a mistake on their own. The intended "target" probably called down to find out why no one ever showed up.

This can't be serious. This sounds like a movie script starring a guy like Will Ferrel or Seth Rogan as a super incompetent FBI agent who is still trying to prove to his dad that he's not a failure.
