Spent a lot of time at Goldie's on the corner of Flannery at Florida on Saturday nights. My lowered S-10 with a Flowmaster muffler on it was slow as shite but we thought we were pro drag racers.

Used to love the video game exchange place that was in the corner next to Broodmoor $1 Theater.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but Pancho's on Florida had the greatest sopapillas ever. Used to raise the flag and fill them bitches with so much honey they would pop.

Closer to Broadmoor, we would ride bikes to panchos and eat for about $3-4. Then to drug emporium and buy 3 candy bars for $1. Then go catch a movie at Broadmoor theatre for $1. Good times.

Worked at the McDonalds at Sharp and Florida. Store had the original arches. Also worked at the Godfathers down the road. Would cash part of my check and head to New Generation. $20 and some change would buy you 4 albums. Good times.

Grew up on Sherwood Blvd. lived there from 73 to 82. Great memories of playing BREC football for the Jay Hawks and Hawks, then Sherwood Jr high, Broadmoor Jr high, and BHS.

Me and my friends played dozens of rounds of golf at SFCC (never had a membership). Made a lot of money as a kid selling golf balls we found in the ditch that ran through there and the ponds.

We rode our bikes everywhere. Baskin Robbins, Putt Putt Golf, Fun Fair Park, Aquatic Club etc.

It was a great neighborhood to grow up in at that time. My parents still live there (in their 80’s). I’m always sad to see how much it has changed when I go back home to visit.

Anyone say the Egg Roll King? Now it's a used tire shop. So sad.

I don’t feel like reading through the next several pages to see if someone answered you or not....

Is Oscar's Barber Shop still in business? It was in the same shopping center as Broadmoor Theater.

But yes. My dad still gets his hair cut there!

Anybody else get a sweet feathered hair cut from Sam's California Concepts across from St Louis king of France?

Back when wrestling was big in the area. Hacksaw Jim Duggan and the Junk Yard Dog lived in the apartment s across from St Louis King of France

When that strip center with the K&B and iirc a National grocery which became a dellchamps, there was a ice cream parlor that was fantastic.

Beverly Hills Ice Cream or something to that effect. 83-84ish maybe.

First place I ever had coconut ice cream

The surrounding area declined. The neighborhood itself is still fine for the most part.
