Went to a small comedy club in Marin County about 25 years ago. Dana Carvey did a set and was great. Then unannounced, Martin Short got on stage and did about 20 minutes. He was truly the funniest person I have ever seen. Also, Seeing Sebastian Maniscalco live is great.

I haven't, but I'd put him on the list with alot of other podcasters who wouldn't be booking the rooms they do (as headlining comedians) without the success of their podcasts.

They get those bookings simply because the venues know they will draw. Most of them are fair-to-middling standups who haven't had the stage time to get to the level of other headliners. I fell into that trap with Garreth Reynolds from The Dollop podcast. Their podcast is funny. His standup was not. He was the headliner that night, but the opener got more laughs and much less money.

I want to see Dan Soder and Jay Oakerson since I like the Bonfire so much.

They’re great radio hosts together. Neither is stand out when they’re not together.

Jay’s specialty shows (ie The Worst) are great and be is a killer MC/Host live.

How was Nate?

Great. He just flows with the crowd and knows what to put out there. He had some new material which was awesome.

Maybe. We went there a lot around 89-91ish. Open mic, some shows we didn't even know who be there and names we can't remember. Houston was a hot scene then.

To echo CDawg -

Nate Bargatze is hilarious. I have seen him live and he is fantastic.

His warmup guy sucked (both times) but Nate, in a calm manner, took control of the room. He is one of the few comedians that I have seen make women laugh as hard as men.

Two OT 5s equal an OT 10.

Tracy Morgan had me laughing harder without “performing” than anyone I’ve seen. About 7-8 of us smoking weed and drinking when he comes rolling in.

I saw Bob Hope live at the LSU Ag Coliseum in 1960, my freshman year at LSU. His TV comedies were good, but at that time he could not use much of his funnier skits. The live show was a hoot.
