I don’t think it matters much whether or not the vaccine creates herd immunity. The vulnerable people and those around them will have the option of taking it which will protect them individually.

That’s not how vaccines work.

Is this a real theory on the internet?
Yes.

The Voice-of-God tech is what the “Deep State” can use to make a shooter go into a school when it’s time to give the anti-gun crowd more powers to chip away at your right to bear arms.

Supposedly, vaccinations are a major vector of deployment for VOG.

Or any other tragedy where the instigator says god told him to.

Seem to be missing this part too.

And if anything wouldn’t that be moving the goalposts the way you want?

Not insisting on a 100% effective vaccine moves the goalposts closer.

Would you be willing to expose your child to a vaccine that had a 0.5% of a extremely bad side effect knowing that chance a death from the actual disease for a young person is probably less than 0.1%.

you honestly think there will be a 0.5% chance of the vaccine having an extremely bad side effect? That number is obviously completely made up to fit your narrative. From a quick google search I'm seeing vaccines have around a 0.0002% chance of serious side effects

Correct. Herd immunity isnt necessarily needed. Same as flu vaccine which is only strongly recommended for those at risk as well as healthcare workers

Hah, yea I realize that. Still willing to stick myself with rushed nerd juice to get everything back to normal though.

Was just entertaining his hypothetical.

They still don't have a vaccine that can stop SARS. You can be a rational person and think......man all this is happening fast I'm not putting that in me or my family. Live a healthy lifestyle, wash your hands, and your probably going to be ok. I know a few people who tested positive. They had a crappy few days, and then were fine.

Why is that the important part?

The "partially effective vaccine" part seems like a MAJOR contributor to "the large number who refuse to take it".

I HONESTLY think there is NO WAY anyone can produce a safe vaccine any time soon for a disease that didn’t even exist 8 months ago. How the hell could anyone say a safe vaccine will be available in any time soon? Plus this virus targets the extremely old with the average age of death from the disease being basically the same as the normal average age of death in general. If this virus was disproportionately affecting the young or younger folks then maybe the juice would be worth the squeeze with a vaccine.

It just bothers me how easily people give away their rights and freedoms at the slightest push back from the govt.

That's the issue. It should not be an either/or proposition. This virus has been (over)hyped as something potentially wiping out a huge segment of the US and world population. To date, all the data we have show the fatality rate is small and perhaps getting even smaller. So while the development of a vaccine would be great, it in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM should be a "prerequisite" to "get the economy and society moving and back to normalcy."

I don't think I've seen a reputable expert warn of the virus wiping out huge segments of the population. The problem with this virus has always been it being a super spreader, and hospitalization rates.

As for your last point, stop being pedantic. I'm just a joe-blow on the internet, I'm not saying it should be a pre-requisite. But would you argue that a vaccine with mass buy-in wouldn't get the economy and society moving back to normalcy?

Of course they're not go na take this.

I won't take it or a flu shot. Know why? Because the flu shot doesn't exactly prevent you from getting the flu. It's literally injecting strains they think will help prevent the flu. I don't think it causes the flu, but I know I don't take it and have only had the flu once in my life. If I was susceptible or any of my family was (none are), then maybe I would go on and take it. But now, it's useless to me.

The whole thing is a bag of lies in the first place, so nah, I don't trust any of those white coats. They've gotten the whole thing wrong time after time, but now they supposedly know what to do? I don't believe it.

Hell no. What’s the flu vaccine effectiveness in percentage?? I take it at work asbits that or wear a mask from October 1 until April 30 but if this is available and they make me take it, I’ll retire.

ETA not an anti vaxer at all but I’d prefer not to rush into things like this.
