Those and Nissan Altimas. I guess this must not include shootings as "occupant fatalities."

The Altima is the ultimate single mom with more than one baby daddy car and it’s not on the list.

So the good news is if you knock some random chick up, your kid will be safe

These are cars, but the NHTSA lists 4/10 as pickups.

Folks having issues with "instant on" acceleration.

The MY's reviewed were 2018-2022.
Corvette median age buyer has been skewing down for awhile now. 911's have older buyers still, but we have trouble getting our walkers in the frunk.

I think people get lulled into a sense of security with these driver safety features. There's no replacement for being aware of ones surroundings and making good decisions.

Ideally, drivers would use these "safety" features to make better decisions. Unfortunately, I think what happens is well-off parents buy their kid a Tesla thinking, "It's a really safe car." When, really they're handing a car with 2.5 second 0-60 speed to an inexperienced driver and thinking the autopilot will cancel that out.

…. always stopped at a gas pump. Hard to have a rollover accident when you're pumping gas….

Why I passed on a 4Runner, but have regretted it many times. It is far more suited to the roads I go on. (Dirt roads in the desert, mountain roads needing high clearance,). My SUV is nicked and scraped and dented because I take it where no HL should go. I should have bought an already abused jeep or 4Runner. (Abused as in body bruises, not motor or drive train issues)

The cars on that list look like either appealing to aggressive drivers, Or cheap tin cans with iffy safety ratings.

True, but they do well in the crash ratings. People must be hauling arse when they wreck.

Sad but somewhat related story,

A friend of mine, a doctor on the coast , sold his clean 996 to a guy on the west bank. Guy was so excited to finally get a Porsche, he and his son were going to bond doing things with and to the car.

A couple weeks later my friend got a call from the wife, The dad and son crashed the car and both died. My friend is still a bit shook up about that.

People knock on Altimas but they're tough cars. I've seen several wrecks involving Altimas and they always drive away with no one injured.
The problem most people have with them are the divers/purchasers, they're generally bad drivers or easily distracted drivers.
