Ain't nobody getting round trip flights to Disney for $250 and if you do you're leaving at 11PM from LA and leaving to come home from Disney at 4AM

WAIT!

14 people in an RV? Unless this is a trip of less than 61 minutes, it will be absolute hell!

There is also the specter of 14 people deciding where to eat and not having a vehicle to get to the convenience store for tampons and tylenol etc. 14 folks pissing would fill up a holding tank right quick and if some have to take a dump...and they will...14 people will have that to enjoy for several hours. Motorhome toilets are very democratic if used on the road...they spread the wealth throughout every nook and cranny. Unless you are close enough to those people that ignoring their funk is possible it ain't gonna be pleasant by any stretch...

I'd rather take a submersible to see the Titanic and any other vessels that are hanging around down there than put 14 in an RV and go to Orlando... But maybe I'm different.

Id rather spend the entirety of Mardi Gras weekend in the McDoanlds that is/was at the corner of Canal & Bourbon than pack 14 family members into an RV all the way to Disney and back .. No thanks .

Unless it’s a prevost bus conversion, you will be overweight before you add the luggage. We do that many for LSU games and we only go five miles gown highland in a 40 footer. No way in hell would I go all the way to Orlando, that would be miserable.

14 people in one RV? That alone is reason to abort. I have had 6-7 in my 47 foot at the hunting camp for one or two nights and it’s borderline claustrophobic. I’m not sure this saves you that much when you consider gas, camping spots and all the broken things you will have on your camper.

If you do this please put up some Wi-Fi cameras and link so the OT can watch this cluster happen in real time.

I guess someone was bound to go there.. but there is an easy solution (even though i am 100% against the idea of taking a trip with 14 people in an RV).. the solution is to treat it just like if yall were caravanning in cars to the same destination, or on a freaking school bus trip - NO POOPING in the RV, if anyone needs to go you just exit the interstate same as if you were in a car or school bus.. unless we have people here trashy enough to go #2 in a car .

14 of us headed to see the mouse for Mardi Gras. I wanted to fly as I have absolutely no desire to drive that anymore. At least we can split the driving up to three hours per male adult. BIL and I had the idea to rent an RV and we ride there in that. Save on stops and food. Also we think it would be a unique experience.

OT baws tell me how big of a shite show this is gonna be? I'm working a list of CONS
Somebody gonna blow the toilet up
Can we conceivably pass up Buccees or is this even allowed with a van full of teenagers?
What am I gonna do with it when I get to Orlando?
Anything else yall can think of?

14 is a hell of a lot for a single RV.

Any saving you can get in food and other lodging will be eaten up in fuel cost.

an RV big enough for 14 (Not there is such a thing) you can count on 8-10 miles per gallon. You can do the math from there.

Don't plan on traveling more than 65 mph too. If those thing were built for speed they wouldn't be shaped like bricks.

In terms of shite show, Think epic.

But Fort Wilderness is awesome, don't wait to rent a golf cart till you get there, they will likely be sold out. If you don't have a toad, golf carts will be a must in F.W.

Good luck because it's going to cost more then you are planning for, but that's the case with any family trip.

You know how many fights you are going to get into with your wife on this trip? You are going to be more stressed out after this trip than you were before.

There's plenty of ways to find airfare to Disney for that cost.

1 - Fly into TPA and not MCO. The drive from MCO to any Disney resort is 30-35 minutes, the drive from Tampa is roughly an hour. Additionally, car rentals in TPA are cheaper than MCO so for 25 more minutes you can save an easy 20% on the cost.

Round trip for two, $347

2- Southwest flies direct from MSY and very very frequently has direct flights ranging from $104-$124 one way for Friday evening departures and Saturday returns in the mid morning or afternoon.

If you don't want to wait for or fly Southwest and don't mind the connection plenty of airlines offer flights right now for $320 ish per person round trip but again, same airlines, same days, same schedule, etc are about $50 cheaper to fly through Tampa

I used a camper for a baseball tourney once.
Once! There were only 4 of us.
This was ha $200,000 rig borrowed from FIL, not a cheapo.

It was the most miserable, cramped, grouchy time we have ever had.

I use to car pool in a large van with about 10 people for work. An hour was too long with that many people. 14 people would be a nightmare.

Just fly or break up the group into different cars.

Hope everyone has life insurance. 14 people in an RV with luggage and supplies would overload the brakes, sounds like a tragedy to me. Better off chartering a bus
