My corporate security group actually sent out an alert this morning about the uptick in hoax school shootings and the possibility that an actual event manifests itself.
Basically just getting us to keep our heads on a swivel if we’re on/near a campus for any reason.

It's a terrible combination of news personnel who don't give a shite if it's real or not because it gives them clicks so they'll push out the story without a second thought and dumbass college kids who believe everything they hear and can't spread a rumor fast enough.
Just look at this thread. Every single report from someone "on campus" was completely wrong.
