It's happening to everyone and has been for a while....it has happened to my last 2 stickers.....the state knows about it but obviously doesn't given enough of a shite to fix it.
I could be wrong but I think they switched companies who make them a couple years back in order to fix this this very issue. Obviously it hasn’t worked.

Anyone else having this issue?
everyone is. I have had the sticker on my Silverado replaced twice. I finally gave up and have taped every sticker with shipping tape on my vehicles.

Get one of the new 2 year ones. You have to pay a bit more but I’ve noticed they stick much better.
No way you are this dumb.

I really should post a pic of mine. It's rolled itself into a tube about the size of a cigarette, just barely holding on. Hilariously the month/year part is still on the windshield separated from the rest of the rolled tube sticker.

There was an article in the paper about it. You can get it replaced for free. They had a batch with faulty glue.

This has been all over the news for a few months now. You can take it back to the place that issued it and they are supposed to put a free one on. It is illegal to tape or glue the sticker yourself. Seriously. There was a quote from the DMV saying they will let police know that it’s ok to tape the stickers for now. Not sure how that will hold up if a cop wants to write a ticket.
I have been told exactly the opposite by two shops. They say they tell people to tape them because that is what they have been instructed to do by state police. They will not swap out the sticker because they no longer have the same expiration dates to replace the original sticker.
You are correct. They will not give you a "free" one. If you go to the shop you got it from they will tape if for you. Police will not issue citations for this b/c they were made aware of this problem by DPS. Sad it has been years and the State can't rectify the issue, typical LA.

Thinking about adding some glue myself - what kind you think?
Says he’s practically swimming in raw material stock.

Anyone remember the old city inspection stations in NOLA? There were like 3 for the whole city and you could count on waiting at least 30 minutes to an hour. Here's a line circa 1993.
The Algiers station tended to be fairly quick, and in the old days you went to see "Mr. Dewey," who ran the place for 30 years.
There was an actual brake testing machine - drive the car slowly over 4 separate sensor pads, and when ordered, slam on the brakes.
Hydraulic fluid rose in a glass cylinder next to the stopping pads, showing the braking force. They also checked alignment (drive over more sensors), and output of the headlights on hi and lo beam.
I once failed for being out of alignment – went to the shop and they said it was in the normal range (but still had to pay for the alignment). I later realized I must have missed the hint to “tip” the inspector. Went to a different station and got the tag.
I also remember the early days of the Nagin administration when two brake tag inspectors pled guilty to bribery and he ultimately closed the city-run stations. Now it’s merely a brake, horn and signal light inspection at a gas station.
Oh, and Kenna does its own brake tags too.

Must have gotten lucky. The stickers ok my 2 vehicles are still stuck. The one of my wife's car is almost peeled off completely
Posted on 8/17/19 at 11:45 am to The Mick
mine peeled off and is laying on the dash, but the month, and year patches are still stuck to the windshield so I don't care.
