Failing glue on Brake Tag stickers

Anyone else having this issue?
All of our cars tags are peeling off within couple months. Did LA start using a different type sticker or is the station we go to using an old stock maybe?....
Not the end of the world but def a bit aggravating

It's happening to everyone and has been for a while....it has happened to my last 2 stickers.....the state knows about it but obviously doesn't given enough of a shite to fix it.

Yes. It’s a known issue. I put clear gorilla tape on mine.
I read where the state “authorized” people to tape them on the windows. I respect police, but I’ve got to be honest I would lose my shot on a cop that tried to write me a ticket for taping my shitty brake tag to the window.

You should have gotten an inspection sticker instead. The adhesive on them is much better.

When will the state get rid of this bullshite?
Get rid of them and charge more for the registration.
These brake tags are useless, time consuming, look ugly on the windshield, and are a shameless cash grab from the citizenry.
Just charge another $20 a year on the registration and be done with this brake tag crap.

This has been all over the news for a few months now. You can take it back to the place that issued it and they are supposed to put a free one on. It is illegal to tape or glue the sticker yourself. Seriously. There was a quote from the DMV saying they will let police know that it’s ok to tape the stickers for now. Not sure how that will hold up if a cop wants to write a ticket.

The OMV switched sticker suppliers during the Jindal administration, and they’ve been peeling off since. You’d think they’d have solved it in the course of 5 or 6 years, but apparently they are complete fricking idiots.
The bright side is that maybe it will finally inspire the repeal of the sticker requirement.

All cars in Louisiana are required to have inspection stickers, Chief. Except maybe NO cars. They may still have a brake tag law.

The argument for keeping inspection stickers is that some mom and pop shops use them for revenue and it may take away X% of their revenue and will shut them down. For real. So everyone keeps paying because 5 crappy falling down service centers do them.
