LSU fans are going to have to start budgeting more for that next flight to an away game.

Considering the rule only came about due to the protests on the 6th, and not after video after video has come out of unruly passengers over the past several years, I doubt it will be enforced fairly.

There will be a certain segment of the population that will not be held liable.

Good to hear. My wife was solo flying with our two shithead kids over the holidays and was accosted by an angry woman in flight. Lady was dropping F bombs on the kids for being a bit rambunctious.

Flight attendants had to relocate the lady. Only time in my life I wished I had been traveling with all of them. Lulz.

100% agree.

It is a shame that a bunch of adults have driven it to this point, but you have your arrogant assholes who believe that just because they have certain views, its the correct views and if you start spewing your shite, there will be other people who get worked up because they have different views.. shite gets emotional.

As for as the mask. If they require it.. Then people have two choices. Fly and wear a mask or don't fly. No body gives a frick how you feel about wearing it. People just want to get from point A to point B without having to deal with dumb shite.

Just like the rest of the rules they are only applied to conservatives.

Yet strangely enough, after years of viral videos showing unruly passengers, only now is the FAA deciding to levy fines.

I'm sure it's just a complete coincidence.

What people don’t realize is that:

- failure to wear your mask, asking for water, and sporting MAGA gear = UNRULY

- service animals, screaming kids, and a certain demographic talking loudly on speakerphone = NOT UNRULY

Interesting that this rule didn’t come about until it applies to Trump supporters...

Isn't the FAA administrator appointed by Trump? Seems like you may want to take this up with the current administration.

Should be $35k for bringing your emotional support pets on the plane.

I have never been on a flight where an animal was unruly or even the slightest bit distracting. I don’t think I have ever been on a flight when their wasn’t an annoying crying baby or children loudly complaining the whole time.

Under the rule, the FAA will levy fines of up to $35,000 on passengers who “interfere with, physically assault, or threaten to physically assault aircraft crew or anyone else on an aircraft.” The agency will also refer incidents to the Department of Justice for prosecution and imprisonment.

This gives a ton of discretion to a flight attendant.

Does chanting "traitor...traitor" interfer with the Flight attendant? I suppose that could vary greatly with the political leaning and/or the mood of the FA. Vs. Two people brawling over who gets the arm rest.

Plane lands and arrives at jetbridge, folks get up, immediately 4-6 people from behind you rush the line to get off and cut about 20 people.

So? If the asile was clear for them to move forward it means those people weren’t even trying to leave.

Be ready.

Just means another airline bailout in the future.

Almost as if government hasn’t figured out, or doesn’t care, that businesses with shitty practices tend to lose money unless they are a monopoly or utility.

Try sitting more forward, like in the first three rows.

It's less likely to happen there to you.

The way to stop them is to get up immediately and block their path. Keep your headphones in and just pretend you don't hear them
