It only does it when I hit bumps, even small ones going fairly slow.Jolts the whole truck and makes a loud whomp sound. Anyone ever had this? I thought it was a loose spare tire so I removed it, all bushings, shocks, leaf springs look good and tight. Can’t figure it out

It’s the nuts slapping the back end.

I'll give Ford credit, they circled the problem and stuck it right up on the front.

shock bushings or leaf spring bushings are bad and or something on them is loose or came undone

also might be exhaust is loose or came undone

lay under there and start pushing on things and see what moves

I had this happen on my explorer. It turned out to be the exhaust pipes supports had loosened. Check your exhaust supports.

It’s a 2009. Friend of mine was behind me the other day said the truck isn’t straight like it’s driving cocked sideways a little bit. I can’t tell while driving it but he swears to it

Didn’t you have the death wobble on this thing a while back?

Just set it on fire and buy something that isn’t a Ford.

It's the cab mount bushings, I have the same issue on my F250.

I’ve noticed this a lot, but only on the Ford Econoline vans. It’s like they go down the road a little sideways like a crab.

Has your truck ever been in an accident?

Possibly u joint in driveshaft. Climb under and check for slack in the driveshaft.

Death wobble was on mine too. It was a rubber bushing on the stabilizer bar
