Playoff games not televised. Astros on some 3rd world network.

Can’t wait for AL/NL championship series’ being played at 1:00pm on a weekday.

Will never watch another game.

I think we were all hoping you’d say “Will never post another thread”. That’s the rage quit we’re all hoping/praying for.

It’s not going to be long before regular season NFL games for home markets teams will be pay to play. The writing is on the wall for everyone to see.

It's about as close to guaranteed as can be no matter who wins.

Crazy to think that, until the 70s, pretty much every World Series game was played in the afternoon. Baseball was always seen as a daytime sport.

I went to 2nd grade in a lily-white Illinois suburb of St Louis. That autumn of 1967 the baseball Cardinals were in the World Series.

All seven games of the ‘67 series were 1:00pm local starts (St Louis and Boston).

Four of the games were on school days, two started at noon (the Boston games) and the other two at 1:00pm (the local games). The teacher brought a black and white 19” portable TV into the classroom and we watched baseball until the dismissal bell rang.

Life was pretty goddam good. Bob Gibson went 3-0 in the series, winning Games 1,4 and 7.
