I have always though unemployment should be enough to get you the cheapest apartment within half a days drive with bulk packaged Aldi foods.

It should not pay your 3000 square foot house mortage or your 1 year old BMW lease

That is the average for the United States? Where did you get Washington from?

Average is $420 for claims right now in the US

So that is $420 + $600 = $1020

$1020 * 2 = $2040 per week

And that is $8160 per month for two

The same reason we’re rewarding people who aren’t looking for jobs.

In Louisiana, I believe the max per week per person is $847, so monthly it would be ~$6800 for a couple here on unemployment. Which is quite of bit of money to do nothing

378 is the average without the $600. So adding them gives you 978 a week, times 2 people. $1956 a week and $7,824 a month, that is the average.

The government's damn sure been rewarding folks that won't get off their arse to find work. Why not reward the one's that have been working every damn day this year?

We did get a reward

We didn't have to pay our taxes for another couple months even though I did it on time because who the frick knew what that shite show was going to look like.

See?

We won

And we had to close down for two months for a hoax losing untold dollars in revenue! And we get to pay for everyone else to do nothing!

So happy!

Yay taxpayers!

Good. The 4 month paid vacation is finally over for everyone ...except teachers, of course.

They must not be from Louisiana! Regular unemployment here is $247 a week I think?

And that is assuming the state qualifies you for the $247. I was awarded $125 per week by the state.

In Oregon, it would be over 10k a month for a couple on UE. It's insane.

Pretty sure Louisiana has the lowest average unemployment payouts in the country. Second lowest max but a harsher calculation.

trump says he wants to give out more $$ than even Dems dude so something will pass

my prediction is one more stimmy check and unemployment down to $400 extra benefits instead of the current $600
