I remember perms being big in the 90's. Absolutely atrocious hairstyle for a woman

And jeans with the stripe down the side

Rock Music died. Other forms like Country, Rap/Hip Hop, Alternative, etc. took off.

The Clinton military. Tanker buddies in the LA Guard got budgeted so little fuel a year that they'd create the outline of an Abrams out of 2x4s. Put one bro on each side, pick it up to move it to simulate putting the tank in defilade, etc.

His "dividend of peace" created the circumstances during the next 25 years that had us paying contractors 10x what a private makes to do laundry and cook.

Agreed, but those dark times led Nick Saban to Baton Rouge, so it was worth it

Bill Clinton was a horrible president. NAFTA wiped out most of the jobs in my hometown.

Heroin, crime, hideous fashion.

People look nostalgic on the 90s because it was the last decade before these terrible phones and the last time people actually wrote music. Basically the end of a 40 year run of cultural innovation.

Trash TV started to rise in the 90's leading to the bullshite we have on TV now and attributing to the dumbing down of Americans.

I'm talking Jerry Springer, Richard Bey, Maury, Sally Jessie Raphael, Jenny Jones, etc...

One could argue that the sexual explicitness that was shown on these shows opened the door to the attention seeking, sexual counter-culture we are dealing with today that is openly accepted.
