It was the Kentucky game. I was there and also sat in the NE end zone corner behind all the people dressed in 50’s gear. They filmed stuff at halftime, then after the end of the game.

In high school we saw movies filmed from baton rouge. Cool to see it in a different time. The you, glory road . Over the hedge

My mom was in the movie. And by in the movie, I mean she was at one of the football games filmed in Tiger Stadium.

I was only 10 at the time, but my grandparents had just bought a place at Lake Rosemound the year before. We got to watch them film some of the boating scenes at night on the lake.

I remember walking out after that Bama game and I guess it was an election year for governor. Pretty sure we walked right past Buddy Roemer in the parking lot getting into a car that had Roemer for governor.

They filmed one night at University high stadium and still I remember is it was cold as frick and we were hiding out by the concession area under the bleachers between scenes.
I was so happy to get in my truck and crank the heat up on the way home.

Lived down the street from the house Quaid stays in while he was filming. Me and some neighborhood friends just walked up and rang the doorbell and he answered. He hung outside with us for about 30 min. I remember he was a cool guy.

I was a student at the time watching them film plays from the student section at half time. My Dad and brother would stay after the games to be extras for the crowd scenes. My girlfriend at the time was an extra in the sorority house scene but I think they cut her part.

Quaid's acting was fine. If I had to identify the weakness, I'd point to the script. Maybe it could have been better in some places. The Southern accents sounded forced at times, but that's a problem that we often see in film.
They tried to turn it into a morality play about how a popular athlete might turn out after the Glory Days are over. Maybe I was hoping for a cheery ending rather than a gloomy one.

Congrats on being an a-hole. My sister was was dating a Sigma Nu at the time and was killed about 10 years later by a drunk driver in Covington.

Quaid and Goodman improved from their previous collaboration in the Big Easy. Now THAT was a terrible movie with bad acting.

I liked Quaid in the movie "Frequency", which had a strong script and a nice ending.
Everybody's All-America was never conceived to be a "love letter" to LSU football heroism in a Golden Age of the past. It was always going to be about a star athlete who sort of failed at real life, so, my enthusiasm for the film was destined to be lukewarm.
