My mom blew Dennis Quaid at the chimes

I got a BJ from this chick at the Chimes once.

I like the footrace on Spanish Town road.

It was my first experience at being Tiger Baited and I probably got a pizz balloon lobbed at me too and just didn’t know it.

Filming was done at halftime of at least 2 games, and I know one of them was against Bama (I was there), and the only game we lost that year (and got trounced).

Yeah. Was there as a student when they filmed. It's one of two movies I've ever appeared in. The other one was "A Gathering of Old Men."

I was in Tigerband when they filmed the scene at the state capitol for Everybody's All American, and appeared as an extra on the LSU Football team in the film.

A lot of us were excited about meeting John Goodman, and so when we saw him after filming one of the scenes we approached him and invited him to hang out at The Chimes with us. We explained that we were celebrating a birthday for one of our group today and another of us had a birthday the next day. He said he'd check and see if he had time, then disappeared for a while.
He returned a little while later with Dennis Quaid in tow, which was pretty cool for all of us. We were there as extras and really didn't see a whole lot of the stars.
Dennis popped up and asked whose birthday was today and Jerry hollered out that it was his. Dennis wished him a happy birthday, then he asked whose birthday was the next day. I was a bit embarrassed, but I stood up and said mine was.
A big grin crossed his face and he says, "Well, hot damn! Mine is tomorrow too! If they have beer and oysters I'm in!"
I became a Dennis Quaid fan that evening. He. like Goodman, is a really nice individual. Not the least bit arrogant or haughty.

I loved those guys, but when the film was released I was a bit disappointed. It was a good story, but it was more of a drama rather than an exciting story about LSU football.

Ok so....recollections of that filming....


They had a scene that was “late in the sugar bowl trailing” and wanted us to chant “get that ball”. It went ok.


Then they had another scene where they wanted us to chant “we want the ghost, we want the ghost.....”

The director wanted to explain......”it starts off disorganized, and then grows as more join in, finally everyone is chanting....”

Well, the guy belabored his point “first it’s one guy, the. Two more join in, and then....”

At that point he was interrupted by some guy in the crowd who shouted “we can do disorganized!”
