For those who don't follow, these 2 guys are recording their climb up to the summit and are very very close. Unreal

Get ready for the flood of posts about how simple it is to climb Everest....written by people who couldn't jog around the block.

I summited the highest point in Louisiana before. Was a piece of cake. Don't really see the big deal with Everest

I climbed everest with my dad when I was 12. All we took was a box of slim jims, extra pair of socks, and our dog Buddy. Wasn't that hard.

like 4,000 different people have summited Everest. It's a test of endurance more than a feat of mountaineering.

They're doing it without supplemental oxygen too. Hope they make it.

This is the correct answer and avoiding random death from weather, avalanches, and falling ice.

everytime you climb you also risk death by the possibilty of your brain swelling due to the altitude.

This happened to a Canadian woman last year while climbing Everest.

There is a Bama fan from New Orleans who lurks and posts here around the game every year who summited. His climbing partner died 150 feet from the summit.

Never used Snapchat but will check out. I saw a video yesterday of a guy flying a helicopter to the summit. Pretty gutsy. Flew right up, touched his skids against the snow and came back down. It was a world record supposedly.

I think they have a youtube channel where you can watch all their snaps. They've been documenting for weeks. Since they are doing it without supplemental oxygen they had to spend quite a bit of time to get climatized.
