That's borderline beat her with the fricking nightstand material there.
I think my initial reaction would have been to smash it on the floor and yell some version of "good fricking luck finding someone else to come build anything in a building you live in"
I wasn't even there and I'm pissed off but then again I've only been married like 5 years so I've still got lots to learn.
Maybe OP should call somebody who can clean the house right or cook right or not be a raging count right.

Baw, most of my projects get 90-95 % complete before I lose interest in building them. Big projects that I can’t hide from. I would say you are way ahead of the curve.

appreciate all the responses. I love the shite out of her so we'll be fine but yes the thought crossed my mind to take a sledgehammer to it. Walking away was probably the best thing I could have done. We're both wore arse out.

You sound like you want to be a peacemaker, especially since there are kids. This type of behavior is bad, though. I don't know of any circumstances where it got better unless it was confronted, rather strongly.
That kind of disrespect is a huge red flag. It's a true deal breaker in a relationship.
She's disrespected you and if you give her a pass she'll just lose more respect for you and it'll get worse. If this is the only time in decades of a relationship, then ok, give her a pass. Everyone has a bad day. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I know it's easy for me to type on a keyboard, but I do recommend you confront this and fix it. If the marriage deteriorates, it's not just you that will suffer. Kids do as well. Hope things turn out well.
