I think shitting yourself while you’re puking is worse…at least from my experience.

1990, I ended up just taking off my clothes and laying in the tub. Wash off ever so often. Finally went to OLOL ER.

Yep.

Lucky for me it fully manifested right when I arrived at the resort on an out of the country vacation. Over the course of 4 days I left the hotel room from a grand total of 20 minutes. I ate one slice of toast on the entire trip. I threw up no less than 30 times over that period. By the end, it was nothing but bile and specks of blood. That was when I wasn't shitting liquid. I had a pounding headache for 4 straight days. I couldn't sleep more than 45 minutes at a time. The worst part was my wife and kids were in the room. I was terrified they would get sick (I initially thought it was a stomach virus). I was terrified I would have to go to a hospital in a foreign country and be quarantined. I also shite in every pair of underwear I had. Not on purpose. It was just unexpectedly happen in the middle of the night while I was trying to sleep.

Then, after the days of constant puking/shitting stopped, I had 3 days of the worst and most painful bloating I've ever had in my entire life. I felt like one of those hungry African children you see on feed the children commercials. It was so bad that it hurt to walk. The final "boss" was miserable constipation for 4 days in rebound to the opposite gastro issues. The illness totally wrecked my GI system for (in hindsight) several weeks. I lost 13 pounds in less than a week (and I'm not overweight). At one point I vividly recall sitting on the toilet in the middle of the night trying to force out something seemingly the size of a turkey leg thinking "I now understand how Elvis died".

Frankly, I probably should have been in a hospital.

I did this too

Just shaking between being hot and the chills, then getting up to puke and shite again, then laying back down.

I was in the tub without water trying to nap in case I just shite without warning.

I got an IV after the expulsion was over. My stomach and back muscles hurt for a week. I had red blood vessels on my face from straining so hard, almost looked like acne or bad complexion.

To this day, I am not sure what caused it. I was grazing all sorts of food at a Super Bowl party, but so was everyone else and no one else got sick.

1st We caught our own crawfish one year and cooked them, the next day I was spraying from both ends and felt like I had the flu.

2nd was working from home and got hungry, made a sandwich out of some turkey meat I found in the fridge, the same day I was spraying from both ends and felt like I had the flu.

You will feel like you ae dying from the inside out

Thought I was dead for two days.

However, for the next six months, I was unstoppable.

Chicken from Applebee's for me.

The first time in my life I was willing of my own free will to even entertain the idea of going to the hospital. Sitting on the throne with a waste bucket on my lap...dripping with sweat...cramps so bad I couldn't sit up straight. Fortunately in my case, the symptoms cleared pretty quickly once I barfed and shat my way through it.

Yes and ended up in the hospital from fricking rice that was left out. No amount of reheating killed whatever bacteria (can't remember what the hospital called it) the next day. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. And my stomach/intestines haven't been the same sense and that was 11 years ago.

I made a mistake of getting the 10 chicken nuggets for a dollar from Burger King years ago. I was on the road and in a pinch and needed some protein fast, and it was the next restaurant I saw.

Let's just say that deals like that truly are too good to be true. There's always a hidden cost. The hidden cost in this case was my insides turning into liquid magma.

Yes, I've had it and nothing sucks more. But I also think it's amazing how our bodies realize something is wrong and gang up on the intruder.

Every time I get food poisoning, I can't even keep water down. It's hell. It's like I have to starve myself of even water to allow my body to reset. I usually go to an urgent care and get an IV, which helps a lot.

Once in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. I took a bunch of investors down there to look at recovery efforts and two of us got so violently ill we had to cancel the whole next day. It was coming out of both ends at the same time. Ended up getting a doctor to come to the hotel and give us a couple shots then passed out and woke up feeling human again 16 hours later.

Body Armor Flash I.V., Gatorlyte, or Electrolit....best thing is to stay hydrated and flush that shite out of your system as quick as you can

About once a year because I am what an optimist would call an adventurous eater. A realist would say I make bad choices.

It's always a nightmare.

Because I'm a very dumb person, I ordered shrimp tacos from Walk Ons one time.

The gods punished me for this.

Twice. Both from eating raw oysters. Did not learn my lesson the 1st time. Definitely did the second. Have not nor ever will eat another raw oyster.
