Congrats Jarrius!

New Orleans Saints superfan Jarrius Robertson has been selected to receive the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at The ESPYS on July 12, it was announced Wednesday on "Good Morning America." Robertson, 15, has undergone two liver transplants and 13 surgeries, but his health hasn't kept him from being the Saints' biggest cheerleader. He's become a fixture at games and has also joined the team for practices. "When I first heard the news I thought I was dreaming!" said Robertson via press release. "The ESPYS? For real? The past two years have been a blessing in so many ways for me and my family. I have been able to do things I never thought I would be able to do. But to be included with Craig Sager, Stuart Scott, Leah and Devon Still, Eric LeGrand and the man himself, Jimmy V, is truly amazing and I am really grateful and humbled."
Congrats Jarrius!

ESPYs are making a move to be legitimate.
Congrats to Jarrius.

Hey, OSU, this is why you're considered men at this age down here.

Somebody post the gif of him telling the opposing team WR to get out of his end zone. That shite had me cracking up.

I was legit happy when he made that basket at the All Star game. Just a feel good moment.

Let the downvotes rain....
I'm over the Jarrius Robertson hype train.
There are a bunch of people that are suffering and going though a tragic situation... why is this one kid getting all the publicity for all the perks of Saints games, Pelicans games, LSU games, behind the scenes access?
I truly hope he continues to persevere and overcome his health situation, just tired of seeing him as the only one being touted. I would assume the organizations listed aren't limiting access to just him... why not give some of the others some screen time?

That kid's parents are certainly milking that 15 seconds of fame.

Good for Jarrius. He's also one hell of a dancer.

Even though I posted, I actually agree with you to a degree. I believe what he is doing is great, but there are far more deserving people out there for the award that Craig Sager, Stuart Scott, and Jimmy V earned. But.. it was given to Bruce, so it is now a less relevant award. Still give mad props to Jarruis, though.

Heard the mom is very nice but the dad is a shite head milking this as much as he can
As far as people being upset about the exposure he's getting...Good God who cares

He and his family were at SmackDown last night along with Cam Jordan, Mark Ingram, and some other Saints player I didn’t recognize.

That's kind of how awareness works. This little kid has raised a ton of money in the last 18 months for the people you are talking about. He has given a face to kids that are in and out of the hospital their entire lives. The reason he has stayed relevant is because of his attitude while being dealt such a shite hand.
