They specifically installed that long merge lane just to get people to speed up and people jump the double white line as soon as they get to the interstate just so they can get into the normal traffic flow at 40 mph. Drives me bat shite. They need to block that lane off so you can’t cross the lines and then install signs that say “SPEED THE frick UP NOW!!! THEN MERGE!!!”

I usually just jump into the other lane when approaching an exit with cars attempting to merge

I had some guy come to a complete stop one time merging on the interstate as if it were a yield sign. I lost my cool.

I've mentioned this on traffic threads before. I take I40 everyday. People getting on the interstate cause backups every damn morning because of this.

There's a loop around on-ramp with a very short straightaway to speed up and merge getting on southbound Interstate 25 (75 mph) if you're coming west down Hwy 34 from Greeley heading towards Denver, like I do every day. If it's not an 18 wheeler going slow as shite out of the loop, it's a Subaru Outback with coexist and Bernie stickers on the bumper. There's only 2 southbound lanes on that stretch of I-25 too, so there's not really much room for people to move out of the way. Very dangerous on-ramp.

I-10 Perkins Westbound on-ramp is where shite drivers go to show off their skills. The number of idiots I’ve seen at a complete stop at the top of that ramp is amazing.

I get stuck behind this same car about once a month while going to work who does this. I lose it every time. And it’s a short steep ramp so after I slam on my brakes I have like 50 feet to merge into 70mph traffic

What gets me now are the people, particularly at Millerville Road, who actually stop on the on-ramp to wait for somebody to let them in to traffic.
Another thing that annoys me are the folks in the right lane who don't yield to the folks in the left lane. The car in the left has the right-of-way when merging to the right lane.

A worse problem in baton rouge traffic is people using exit lanes to get ahead then getting over at last minute and similarly getting off at an exit at the last minute because you don't want to wait in line.
In both cases in fricks up traffic behind them in all lanes.
