Brazen fricking snakes.
The Metro Council is just as complicit in this. They do nothing but enable this behavior, and they're probably just going to go along with it.
I mean if Chauna isn't voting for this now, I think the metro council is getting the message.

Cole seemed to be pretty frustrated with the constituents who showed up at the stormwater plan meeting.

Has she said that publicly?

He often seems frustrated by having to do his job, or face any of the public.

At least he showed some emotion. Hurst was on his phone a lot of the time during the first meeting.

Either these NDAs exist or they don't. He says they don't.

Half truth? This looks like a full fledged lie. One that took a sitting US Representative to out.
But of course Graves could be the one lying like you suggested was possible
Or they could only have demanded an NDA from an outside consultant and the city officials wrongly thought the NDA applied to them as well like you also suggested.
Which one do you think it is Sport?

He needs to write his letters better, then:

Dude you missed the emotional release portion of this thread and we're into the "Damn Broome is in trouble and SFP was right" portion of the thread.

But this was merely implied and not stated. There is a LOT of careful wording used in those articles. They never specifically state the other party of the (alleged) NDAs signed by members of the admin.
This.

UPDATE: Now, the U.S. Dept. of Justice (DOJ) is also saying they were not aware of any non-disclosure agreement.
“Just talked to DOJ. DOJ confirmed also that there was not an nda requirement on their part.” -Congressman Graves.
Mayor Broome’s office has issued a statement in response now: “There is no NDA regarding the stormwater proposal. There is an NDA with the Parish Attorney concerning our conversations with the Justice Department regarding our MS4 audit. Also, while there is no deadline regarding our stormwater proposal, there is a deadline from the Justice Department to submit our plan for MS4 permit compliance.”

And as I stated. There is not NDA. They lied about the epa NDA and now they are scrambling to cover their arse. I guarantee the ink isn’t dry on this “NDA”. I’m sure this is all going to come out.

No they said they signed NDAs. That was truthful.
It's just they (and their media cohorts) made it seem like it was forced by fedgov, which was not truthful.
It’s obvious as to what had been going on.
The mayor wanted to control information. She had all her people involved in negotiations sign individually that they wouldn’t divulge parish Stormwater business.
That way she could tell us she needed 40 million dollars to comply when in reality it could be a lot less. No one would be told what the Feds require, no one would know she’s been sitting on her hands for tears and in the dnc the Feds would be the bad guys not her.

There is no NDA regarding the stormwater proposal.
This is like stating that they “signed an NDA at some point in time with some entity that didn’t really have anything to do with the stormwater proposal, but we didn’t fully lie because they have signed an NDA about something at some time”.

I’m sure every member of the Metro Council is very disappointed to have been subject to a “half truth”
Certainly that is the term they are using with each other and their constituents for what has taken place.
You should have listed half truth as one of you possible scenarios earlier. Notably you didn’t list Broome and her team implying there was an NDA with the Feds for a looming emergency. That the real NDA was so pariah employees couldn’t discuss the half truth.
Hopefully the AG takes a peek into this. Landry can be a grandstander, but this deserves more than media scrutiny
