I try to do it Monday so I don’t have to be at work starving. That’s the real misery to me.

Just eat a soup the day before you have to do the prep. I mean you don't want a big arse steak for lunch and start prep that evening. I would imagine you would hate life later that evening.

And if you had these done in the 90's, it is so much better now.

Making sure you are getting it done in June as a sign of solidarity with those celebrating Pride Month?

I went to a urologist in Mississippi when we lived there who had Bozo the Clown hands…once. After that I drove in to BR to see my urologist here.

You're doing it right. Semi-prep two days before and makes the real prep a breeze. Good luck with the results.

PS If you are on blood thinners I'd wait ten days before retaking them. I took mine the standard seven days later. After seven days of taking them (plavix concentration maxes out at 6-7 days), I lost a third of my blood volume. then went through the whole thing again in the hospital ugh. I don't take plavix any longer.

Because US medicine is based on MONEY and until insurance companies and the FDA/Medicare can find the procedure profitable for THEM including kickbacks, they will continue to follow the same barbaric and archaic procedures if it saves them a nickel. Just like the prior authorization process and requiring multiple tests and step therapy before doing a major procedure in the first place.

#1 prevention for colon cancer is a colonoscopy. Precancerous/benign polyps are found and removed.

They do a lot of messed up shite once you’re under. Pervert doctors! Anyway, good luck!

Had my 1st one 3 weeks ago and the prep day wasn’t nearly as bad as I was expecting. Going light the day or 2 before the prep day was the smart move. Wet wipes and Vaseline will be helpful.

They removed 1 polyp and I get to do it all again in 5 years.
