Winter Storm Elliott taught us very clearly we aren’t ready to transition. Coal plants we planned to shut in 26 now got a longer lease at life. There are a few we are still shutting down because we just let them go to crap and they are hanging together with glue and duct tape lol. Multiple new CC and CT plants are being accelerated for construction. Fossil fuels aren’t going anywhere in generation for a long time.

coal plants are not coming back to the us. Clean coal was a lie. I can see other countries relying on coal for decades longer but not us.

So his bias that we are trying to force a full transition too soon is correct.

Good deal.

I think it would be more accurate to describe him as a service company CEO.

but you will blindly listen to people who have absolutely no idea how the actual energy industry works.

yeah we aren't building anything new, we scrubbered what we could and that is the only thing staying online in the next few years. Everything else will be shuttered, we had a lot of very well running plants we let go to crap because it wasn't worth investing in because of planned shutdowns.

we are trying to force a full transition. If you wait for it to happen naturally it would never happen.

Full transition to WHAT? Nothing we have invented comes anywhere close to replacing fossil fuels. Then we also have to pretend that batteries are clean? The whole green industry is predicated on lies.

Is that right? Remember that all of these progressive leaders love changing the definition of terms in our language and its already started in Europe.
Natural gas is a fossil fuel, but the EU will count it as a green investment

exactly. they won't just pack up and go home. the same folks who have always provided our energy, will continue to do so. regardless of how it's generated

I’ve asked a few times and never been answered by a few environmental experts- but what happened after the ice age and why didn’t it last forever?
