Investigators with the New Orleans Police Department said an unknown individual approached Plessy in her vehicle, pulled her out and threw her to the ground.

When Plessy's son-in-law tried to help, investigators said the carjacker put the vehicle in reverse, running over Plessy, who died at a hospital.

This world is F'd up

Carjackings seem to be on the rise around the country.

Some public official in St Louis blamed it on cars being harder to hotwire because of new technology.

Sure, blame technology, not the shitty people out there that don't value a person's life and would rather steal than earn.

Kind of a crap neighborhood. Not the worst neighborhood but certainly very very very very very far from the best.

No kidding. Why even fight with the car jacker? Let them go and live to file a police report and go on with life.

I’m in no way taking any blame from the car jacker, and he’s a pos who will hopefully get his one day soon, but people playing the hero usually get themselves or others killed.

You can let these frickers take your shite and they will still kill you. No respect for life at all.

Still...I'm letting them take whatever the hell they want and I'll let them know my eyes are closed and I didn't see no faces whatsoever.

It started going to the craper in the early 1970's. I grew up in the Woods there. After leaving, never looked back. Was a very nice area before that time.

I was robbed by a drugged out young man who stuck a handgun four inches in front of my face as I got into my car. You can't help but look at their faces and I can tell you, you never forget their faces or their shakes. Or their voices. Or the getaway car they got into.

I lived about a block from where this Lady was killed. It was about 6 years prior to Katrina that I lived there. That neighborhood was crime free and I never had any problem. It really took a hit from Katrina, so many of the long time residents left. What moved in were the criminals..I guess.

I guarantee pastors wife probably was in a very expensive vehicle. Pastors of these new churches treat themselves extremely well. I’m not saying she deserved this, it’s very sad it but these pastors live well beyond the avg means of their congregations. Pumping them to serve the Lord by giving. The estranged HPC pastor used to take $500 cash of the top of the tithe every service and hand our money to female staff like candy. True Story. These guys have to be stopped.

Damn that’s horrible. Idk that I would live in NOLA in the future. There’s a lot of crime scattered throughout the city now. It’s hard to really get away from it. At least in BR you know where the crime is since it’s almost entirely in NBR
