That fall Sharon Weston Broome, a state senator from Dead Baton Rouge, won election over a pro-cop Republican in a close race. Everything has cratered from there.

Broome has especially destroyed the Baton Rouge Police Department through starving it of funds and leadership; she fired the police chief and installed a puppet, the almost comically incompetent Murphy Paul, to run the force.

Could be the biggest “BOOM” I’ve ever read.

It is past time for a recall.. Way past time.

Yep.

They don’t like people “whitesplaining” to them except they aren’t taking care of their own shite and wonder why whitey isn’t doing it for them.

Can’t catch a murderer without leads and no one says shite even if a murder happens in a packed crowd and everyone sees who did it.

It honestly makes me wonder if Wayde Sims killer would have been caught if there wasn't video showing him. I know it's not apples to apples comparison, but still.

After the murder, the Rice family and Allison’s friends made an impromptu memorial to her, complete with flowers, stuffed animals, and other mementoes of her cruelly cut-short life. One of them was a copper cross with her photograph inserted in its middle that was hung on a telephone pole near where her SUV came to rest.

But the morning after the memorial was laid, the cross — and everything else but the flowers — was carted away by thieves.

Because that’s what Dead Baton Rouge does.

Excellent editorial.
I like the terms Dead Baton Rouge and Live Baton Rouge. Very apt describing the dual nature of the town. Unfortunately as noted in the editorial Dead Baton Rouge has more votes than Live Baton Rouge.

After reading that article, it is understandable why Progressives work so hard to censor these outlets.

The truth can't be told.

I wouldn’t want to own a bar or restaurant on Government Street right now. I bet they will be hurting very soon.

Not surprising to me. After all it was copper. That's the only thing that mattered to the scumbag that stole it. Find out who buys copper and you might get another lead EBRPD

Last time I checked white people weren't killing black people in the ghetto. Sounds like the Democrat lobbyist is really just upset with the white Dims he votes for. He'll vote for them again in the next election.

Depending on who it is, they are running for office soon.

Well, “running” is a big stretch in his case. Possibly briskly walking between stops to liveblog in his mom’s car.

Somebody let this piece of shite know that we will care about crime when the black community does. Numerous instances of blacks not talking to police and letting criminals off the hook.

Exactly, they have a black mayor, a black police chief, who by the way is trying his hardest to run off all the white cops to have a chocolate police force and he comments that white people don’t care so that’s the problem?

That guy can go frick himself…
