you make it sound so amazing... take the leap. Quit your job, start smoking blunts, and drive down to the welfare office and get your applications started.

I mean clearly you would rather trade spots with these people getting $190 of TAX FREE food and all

Nah I'm good. Depending on the govt to fund you is a shitty life but not shitty enough because people still choose to live that way. I want to make it worse. Same with the incarcerated

The banks will come for what is owed to them. They won't he coming to your employees for that. Again, don't have as much on the line.

None of those employees just had to shell out an extra $80k for insurance. That type of figure can and has put people under.

Sure it's been said by now (did not read entire thread) but it doesn't make sense to tax a tax funded program. Spinning your wheels. We'd have to pay more taxes to give them the same $$ value. Same reason schools, etc. don't pay taxes.

Well, when the taxes are going to the city, I sure can see it. That's who is losing out on the revenue.

Exactly. It's essentially costing the state and city tax dollars since the program is federally funded

That's a pretty asinine statement. Our house is valued at about our annual household income so we definitely didn't out kick our coverage. But if we both became unemployed, we'd lose our house because the government isn't going to pay our mortgage.

I could see cities wanting to get their piece of the sales taxes off of it but I imagine the feds throw a stipulation when they allocate the funds.

What does that have to do with it?

I don't think anyone can afford their house without a job. Even with no mortgage how are you paying property tax and insurance?

Dave says what 6 month emergency fund? I know oil field baws that haven't worked in almost two years
