Mssr. Nicholas Alexander gonna do some serious time for this.

He’ll get to meet some folks and vice-versa.

Any idea on how long he might spend in jail?

It's an apples to oranges comparison

I've been on roads that had like a foot of a shoulder..then a guardrail and off a cliff(ex: the road that goes around Lake Tahoe). Yet I saw tons of cyclists riding on the roads. Thought they were insane to do so. But saw cars just slow down and pass them by. No honking or acting upset at the cyclists.

But...that is also a state more friendly to cyclists. I doubt Louisiana will ever be such a state. Posts in this thread remind me why.

Sad. This state sucks for cycling. New Orleans is trying at least and even kenner just announced a bike lane.
would you propose we add a bike lane to this highway?

There's a bike lane on top the levee so they all ride on river road and south stadium instead.

Ride your fricking bike somewhere other than a road driven by vehicles. This shite won’t happen

No shoulders
Therefore, Ride bike in a lane where cars go 75
I mean, the cyclist was in the right, but don't think he cares about that from his casket

This is the same reason I don't go and evangelize Christianity in Northern Nigeria. Just kind of asking for trouble.

Alexander was not injured and placed under arrest by Troopers. He was booked into the West Feliciana Parish Jail for Negligent Homicide, Negligent Injuring, and Limitations on Passing Bicycles.

shite, he was already on the road to Angola. They could've saved the state a little gas by just bringing him straight there.

WTF? There's no shoulder to speak of there. If a vehicle was coming in the other lane or a car was passing a car there would've been nowhere to go. It could've been just a tragic accident. No matter what a family lost a father today. Praying for them to find peace.

Article says he didn't slow down or move over.

If he couldn't have passed the cyclists....he has to slow down until he can.

I loved Buddy’s 60 second litter campaign. You can see his video on his Facebook page. He will be missed. Big loss for District 8.
