I gave you a concrete example. How emo if me. feel free to deflect again.
I retract the statement that you are an emotional wreck. Now please try to get past that and read the rest of that post.

Louisiana—- naaaah. Louisiana is an exercise/outdoor shithole except for hunting and fishing. Cardio sports don’t stand a chance. Wear a pair of biking shorts and a helmet and take a 2 hour ride around the lakes and some baw gets really agitated at the site of you. I don’t recommend cycling in Baton Rouge.
Thankfully, with all the fatasses, violence, alcohol abuse, and polluted air Louisiana baws die quicker.

I'm guessing bike laws started as rational laws intended for urban areas and have been expanded to highways. Are bikers going to be riding on the interstate next?
Bikes should be restricted to roads that are 35 mph or less.
I like that idea. Then, when a bike runs over you and your kid walking down that street, it's your fault.

quote:IIRC, it's 55 all for the entirety of the road. I've driven down it plenty of times, and I've never seen someone stupid enough to ride a bicycle on it. Blind turns, hills, crests followed by turns. It is completely stupid
What's the speed limit on that two lane road with no shoulders?

Like I said earlier it’s not just a bike/car issue. It’s car/car too. One day it’ll end up with a requirement for clef-driving cars because we become a society too irresponsible and stupid to operate a vehicle safely. That’s sad to me.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how riding a bike on a roadway is dangerous. It also doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that pointing that out isn’t attacking cyclist or calling for them to be banned or whatever.
But it does take an irrational and emotional mess to somehow link pointing out that creating a rolling bottleneck equals to being okay with a kid being run over.
A cyclist cruising at 30-35 mph on a highway creates less of a bottleneck than a child hobbling on his training wheels at 5mph on a residential street.
By your logic, the child deserves to die.

And the speed limit is 55 so vehicles will routinely do 65 I suppose? No shoulder the whole length?
That's the exact situation I plan to avoid when I am out cycling.

I do love cyclist who post videos of them running over people walking in their bike lanes.
The irony, I feel, is lost on the cyclist who posted the video tho

Here’s the difference. On a residential street, you have a rational expectation to come across children playing or people walking.
Down a 60mph road you aren’t exactly expecting to come across a biker going 30mph around that blind curve.

If there’s a long line at the grocery store, would you say beating up the store manager is understandable, because the shopper was provoked by the long line at the checkout registers?
I think we should kick handicapped people out of their wheelchairs when they create bottlenecks on the sidewalk.

Rational expectation or not, streets are for cars. Pedestrians don't belong there.
I can't be bothered to look up from my cell phone in case there might be a dumbass walking across the street to check his mail.

If you want to ride a bike in the street. Move to China.

No, I'm using your argument on examples you don't agree with.

Cyclists don't belong on the road because they inconvenience you.

You don’t travel around the country too much , do ya baw ?

Never said that. Not once have I said cyclist don’t belong on the road or we should make it illegal for them to be on the road.
Try again.

Stop lying.
You've also implied that cyclists should be held responsible when they get hit, not reckless drivers.
