Can't we do one at a time?

Considering how far behind BR is with road infrastructure, I don’t see how we keep up by settling for GL1 at its current state.

Everyone needs to get out and vote yes. This will keep the transportation economy alive in BR and Louisiana.

I resolved after the CATS gerry-mandered property tax election and the Council on Aging Den-of-Thieves election that I would never vote for another local tax measure until both of those taxes are amended or nullified.

So far I've kept my resolve. I'm voting NO on both proposals tomorrow.

Shouldn't we finish it first? 14 years later and we need a second tax plan to finish the first tax plan. We have over 200 million dollars in new taxes listed to finish projects in GL1 listed in this new MoveBR plan.

—I hate the idea that our roads could get worse if something isn’t done to improve infrastructure.

—I like the fact that it’s a sales tax and not a property tax, which means EBRP residents won’t be the only ones footing the bill for roads used by people who may live outside the parish.

But on the other hand:
—Our sales tax is already pretty high, so the thought of raising it sucks.

I honestly haven’t decided how I’m going to vote tomorrow.

Kind of how I feel about it until we have a constitutional convention. Until then no for everything.

My reluctance is always the same when it has Baton Rouge politicians behind it. There’s good reason to distrust them. It’s not as if it’s unfounded distrust here. Just look at the condition of this city and there’s good enough reason to be hesitant to hit the gas.

Corrupt CoA

Crap Public schools (minus the “real” magnet schools)

Tons of Money going to charter schools instead of keeping traditional neighborhood schools

I’m not gonna pay more money for something that should be already paid for.

Vote = No

This is what will keep people from voting for MovEBR. Everybody remembers this shite show and nobody trusts Broome or the clowns on the Metro Council. It's a shame because BR is in dire need of infrastructure improvements.

The tax is only in EBRP, yet our traffic problems are influenced significantly (primarily?) By commuters from LP and AP. Those parishes would pay nothing.

BR already has nation's third highest sales tax, this would take it to #1.

Vote HELL NAW.

I bet a majority of the people voting no have not even looked at the list of projects.

Can’t wait until this passes.

They pay the sales tax when they shop in EBR Parish.

You never have been able to see the Forrest for the trees.

Yes, visitors to our parish pay sales tax. We also pay says tax in other parishes. That's a wash. The fact is that the proposed MoveBR sales tax would only be collected in EBRP, and those other parishes would collect nothing for the projects.
