They lick the taints of men by choice

I have an older buddy of my mine whose account was hacked. I spoke with eBay on his behalf 4 months ago and they agreed he was hacked and said they would clear up his account.

2 months pass and it’s still not resolved. His son-in-law calls and they saw it was their mistake and intend to clear it up

Fast forward to today - his account is locked until he pays for a drone he never purchased

I try to call AGAIN but, now, they change the number every few days and there is no way to directly contaxt support anymore. They have a system to “call you back” in 5 minutes…well, it’s been two weeks

Anyone know a number to call these queerbaits?

Go to their headquarters in San Jose, California and ask in person.

Customer service is rare these days.

Businesses just don't care, there is another customer waiting in line.

Native English speaking customer service is even rarer.

Im sure they do suck, but why have 2 separate people other than the guy himself called to speak for him?

I had my account permanently banned for trying to sell an item last year, took months to get any explanation at all, and when I finally did get to talk to someone they admit that their software "just does that some times".

Because he’s an old man. Logging into eBay and PayPal is the best he can do.

maybe have a password thats not easy for a 4th grader to crack

especially after it was already hacked

yes their CS sucks, i sold an electronic car part, the guy messages me 2 weeks later admitting he bought the wrong part number by mistake, but it looked close to what the part he needed looks like, so he put it on a bench grinder to reshape it and make it fit. so then he sends it back wanting a complete refund plus return shipping costs because the wrong part he bought didnt fit or work after he destroyed it on a bench grinder. ebay CS sided with him and charged my account for the $85 refund

i requested an apeal and explained everything with the guys admission he fricked the part up himself and destroyed it and their answer was well there is nothing we can do since the credit to his account was already completed. i demanded to talk to a supervisor who parroted the same BS so i told them they just admitted to being accessories to fraud and i had it all recorded on tape and will be contacting a lawyer. they put me on hold for 5 minutes then said since they shouldnt have issued the refund they will eat the mistake and credit my account.

thats the type of system you deal with on ebay. they only do the right thing if you have them dead to rights with evidence to threaten legal action.

i will buy from ebay but i will never again sell anything on ebay again and i have a secure 16 character password i use and i change to a new credit card number every 2 years because its just smart to be careful with your online accounts

I had a similar issue where a guy bought a man's gold ring from me. He filed a claim and said the ring didn't weigh what I said it did. I thought it may have been possible my scale was fricked, so I told him to send it back for a refund.

But......the a-hole was a jeweler who had already taken the onyx stone out, removed an inscription on the ring, added a different stone, cleaned it, AND relisted it on his own ebay site.

I saved all of the correspondence with him and sent it to arbitration. I also bid up to the amount he paid for the ring (because the claim had put a hold on my money) on his listing. I wanted to tie that sale up as much as I could.

When all was said and done, ebay sided with me being that the guy had altered the ring I sold him and he couldn't prove its weight. He also broke the law and ebay guidelines by listing the ring for auction on his account while it technically was not paid for.

I kept what he paid me, didn't have to refund anything (including shipping), but I also had to keep his bitch arse negative feedback which ebay "Couldn't remove".

I sell on ebay. Never call them for problems.

Message them on Facebook. Their customer/seller support page is "ebay for business". Send them a message and they'll reply and look into your problem within 24 hours. Their Facebook people are competent.

I’ve never had a bad experience with eBay’s customer service, but I don’t buy stuff off ebay.
As a sell, I was able to contact them as soon as possible. One thing I like, you don’t have to sit on hold for hours waiting on a live person. I put in the request for a CS rep, and they call me when one comes available, and it’s usually with in 10 mins or less.
Granted, I’ve had a few issues with eBay’s policies, but that’s not the CS rep’s fault, they don’t make the rules.

I have a surplus of formula my neighbor gave me as his kid is starting to eat soft food. I listed it on ebay, literally $10 less than what a can is selling for at Walmart and target, if it was in stock and they keep flagging my post as price gouging. Wild times.

Try this number: 866-303-3229

I was able to get hold of a live person on this number right away to resolve an issue with my acct.

Good luck! I agree, they are terrible at customer service.

Been a longtime seller and buyer on eBay for model train paraphernalia.

Overall scene has gone to shite coincidentally during the Brandon administration. I now use Facebook groups via individual sellers to buy or sell anything.
