East Baton Rouge is gearing up for a new four-lane road linking Jones Creek Road to Jefferson Highway, and also setting up public hearings on MovEBR plans to widen roads in Central and Southdowns.
The Metro Council on Wednesday intends to schedule public hearings on upcoming land acquisitions along and near Bluebonnet Road, Hooper Road, Jones Creek, Lee Drive and in an area of medical offices west of Essen Lane. The medical complex work will include a railroad underpass.

The plan essentially is, make horrible traffic worse for 3 years and still be inadequate when completed

All of these projects going on while I10 is losing half its lanes for that project?

They will need 600 studies over 36 years first.

Finally some signs they are moving forward.
Why isn’t Nicholson from LSU to Lee ready to go?
It was never done in the Greenlight Plan. It appears to be getting pushed farther and farther back.
That project would really help game day traffic.

So these are all going to be happening at the same time I-10 is reduced down to 2 lanes in 2024?

The Lee widening is much needed. Sucks for those property owners though

Funny how Broome made sure all the taxpayer funded, billboard sized, "Coming Soon" signs -with her name on them bigger than the project's name- all got put up right before the election, yet nothing else gets done on time.

Holy shite, this while the interstate is going to be completely closed essentially

Yet there are still no plans to widen Florida from Airline to the Amite or Airline from Florida up to 110.
Perhaps if some giant of commerce were to buy up land there and open a fricking ginormous facility the obvious potentital for extra traffic would spur them into... oh, wait.

What happened to the road diet?

Back in the day, politicians used to have shite actually done before their reelection campaign.
Jokes were made in the early 80s that bumps in the road were joggers who got paved over in Pat Screen’s race to have streets ready for his re-election campaign.
