Technological solutions are coming into the market around the world.

When you go buy your booze and the clerk asks for your ID, why must you provide him with information on where you live when all he need is to know if you are of age?

Multi-factor authentication will solve this. Enter the four digits that are texted to you and the clerk gets a green light confirming it is you and the transaction is approved.

And you retained your privacy.
So the government gets a ping every time you buy alcohol?

That’s your improper twisting that the FEMA built houses in Texas from Hurricane Harvey damage went to someone it was not meant for. I stated expired ID’s were acceptable in the process of getting a house.

You’re the one scared shitless that only criminals have expired ID’s.

I never said the government.

Private companies for identity verification are already more than capable and successful in this regard.

And I'm the one twisting shite?

I'm saying that expired IDs end up in the hands of people they don't belong to much more often than unexpired ones do. And that for this very obvious reason, expired ID is not acceptable.

You are concerned about authoritarian government controlling your life, but you are not concerned about authoritarian government controlling your life via "private" companies?

I chose the companies I do business with.

Do you work for the state? The hill you are defending is odd.

Expired ID without a pic must be what you are talking about. I’ve never tried to use my library card for anything other than checking out books.

If that’s you in the pic on an id, that should be good enough.

Now you hit a big jackpot and they aren't paying you. Also future reference just call the manager 1st no need to discuss business with the help.

A beat up chevy cavalier with a lawnmower strapped to the roof. Dumb, yet impressive at the same time.

My dog farted too hard in her sleep. She got startled, jumped up and looked at me like Thanos was coming to get her.

You can't be so naive to think the government won't have their hands in every company that handles identity verification. Who do you think will vet, license, and regulate these companies?

No no, you don't get to say outlandish shite like requiring valid ID to buy liquor is communist, and then call me odd for calling you out on that bullshite.

Really? Part of the reason photo IDs expire is because people change. If I don't know you, a photo that somewhat resembles you would pass. I can't believe that I'm explaining this really basic shite to you.

Why are you being so obtuse about this? The logic behind it is sound, and it is borderline insane to think that requiring an ID to be valid is a step toward communism.
