Just passed a Trash can cleaning service truck… looked it up and it’s exactly what you think it is. People are paying $20 a month to have someone come and clean their trash can… or $65 one time cleaning. I can’t believe this is a real thing honestly. They advertise to make sure you don’t have “dangerous germs like bacteria and fungi” on your trash can. Like I’m trying to eat out of the dumpster like it’s a dinner plate. Has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of someone paying for. Jackson Arnold’s NIL may be the only thing worse
Imagine that! People in a free market economy exchanging money for goods and services. Further, imagine the service provided involves literally cleaning garbage cans.
Are you fricking stupid?

I would want to know where they are cleaning it.
If it smells bad enough that I won't do it myself then I don't want you dumping/washing the shite near my property.

About the same to me as dog owners who pay someone to come to their house to pick up their dog's crap out of the yard.
My wife will pick up the dog poop, though it may have been cheaper to hire someone.

Nothing quite as nice as a trash can 3 days after a crawfish boil
Should have taken a whiff of Kenner back when the City and Ramelli got into a pissing contest and garbage cans were left out in the streets for weeks during the summer.

Neighborhood middle school kid started a little biz doing it. Put a sticker on the can you scan with your phone when you want him to come clean it, $10. I always give him a $20. Has a wagon set up with the electric pressure washer, etc. He takes Venmo also, smart little fricker. Good idea for kids to earn something outside of mowing yards

Happened to the mayor of White Castle as well.
That might be who I was thinking of. Remember is was on the other side of the river.

We paid a HS kid a few times to clean ours. After trash pickup, dog walkers will occasionally throw their dog poop in our empty receptacle and it could get bad over time.
He had some type of cleaning device so fortunately not by hand.

I got one of those value pak coupon things in the mail this past week, and there was a coupon in there for these guys. They'll come into your house and change your cat litter for you. How fricking bougie do you have to be to pay for this service?

Doesn't sound dumb. Trash cans stink. I "try" to clean mine the day it's emptied.
Side note: Republic service sucks! They skipped our entire street the week of Thanksgiving and most of the next week.
We have since switched to Trash Rangers.

Multiple mayors arrested in that sting. "Cifer 5000". The FBI was rooting out corruption. From what I remember, the FBI set up a sting to catch one particular corrupt mayor. That mayor took the bait, I mean bribe, and said he could get other mayors in the area to also participate (for an additional kickback, of course). All of those mayors, except the White one, also took the bait, I mean bribe. 4 or 5 corrupt mayors got convicted.

My can was pretty ripe one time. So I rinsed it with the water hose as best I can, filled it with water and dumped in a gallon of pool shock (basically strong bleach). Let that sit for about a day and that seemed to pretty much do the trick.
I do mine about 2-3 times a year.
Lemon-scented Simple Green and a blast from the garden hose.

Sounds like money better spent than paying for OF.

Also learned that vinegar keeps flies away. Tried it and it works.

A litter robot seems like a better investment.
