This has to be all Willie. I listen to the Unashamed Podcast with Phil (until his health decline), Jase, Al, and the cousin and listening to them talk about Duck Dynasty, it seems they hated doing the show. Yeah it was scripted but after the producers realized that they weren’t gonna have a family backstabbing each other and dealing with drama on every episode, they let them kinda do their own thing. Phil always said if it gave them a platform to spread the word he was good with it. However I think everyone could agree, it ran its course so kinda surprised it is coming back especially since they are all doing Podcasts now,

who could imagine that a show about willie and starring willie would be produced by willie. that doesnt make any sense

I tailed off of it after the first couple seasons but of all the trash on TV, this one is a clean family show with some light humor from people who glorify God. There's not a lot of that that's mainstreamed on TV.

I was really hoping you changed your mind and would watch it this time. But thanks for letting me know your decision.

I blame them for old men growing long scraggly beards. Gross.

That fad of unscripted but scripted shows around families was so horrible. It was all very obviously loosely scripted situations they’d put them in, The Osbournes were probably patient 0 for that crap

I really have no interest at all in this. Louisiana based reality shows, namely Duck Dynasty and Swamp People, seem to be produced in large part as a tool to give people outside Louisiana a reason to point and laugh at us. Meanwhile, most Louisiana residents eat the shows up.

At least they are miles better than Cajun Pawn Stars (nothing remotely cajun about a place filmed in Alexandria)

Phil can't be a part of it of course, but the original show really needed Phil and Jase to balance it out. Willie by all intents seems like a top notch dude, but I don't know if I want to watch The Willie Show.

I'll give Swamp People credit. You saw everything you were ever going to see in the first 10 minutes of the first episode, and they've somehow stretched that into 15 seasons.

NOTHING on a network program is unscripted.

We watch it because every character reminds us of someone we know...if not ourselves.
