It seems to be working for Tebow.

Tell you what...don't home-school yours. I'll raise mine as we see fit.

(Actually, we've raised them already. Did some school, some at home. One is just finishing up Phd. The other is, well, lost.)

like I said earlier, homeschooling, public school, private school...it all doesn't really mean anything

its all about the parenting at home

So your implication is that Tim Tebow an exceptional athletic outlier would not have had success at a regular school environment. Ok buddy.

Plus if Tim Tebow is the best example you've got then wow that is a weak case.

Did you miss where I said it's just me and my wife? I also don't live in New Orleans, so I don't live in the "ghetto". I live in a 2200sft house right outside Nashville where cost of living isn't too high.

Checkout my location bruh

And yes, you are full of shite. You arent living off of 50k combined income right now while your making 150k. Living off of 50k combined would have yall never going out to eat, drving one car, and no vacation or trips at all. It sounded like a sweet financial savvy brag, but in actuality it was asinine.

But I think some miss the point. You can send your kid to school or daycare and they turn out great as long as the parenting at home is fine. Parenting at home does not mean keeping your kids home at all times though.

Also, what is being missed is even some filthy rich people still like the thought of daycare. It isnt just a place parents send their kids so they can have dual incomes for fancy toys.

For example, the Prince of England sends his kid to daycare because he went and said he thinks it is important in the growth process. I am pretty sure Prince William doesnt need Kate to be earning a dual income for fancy new toys

Apologies for delay, had to step away

think of it like the prisoner's dilemma. there's a way for the outcome to benefit both, but they can't trust each other to do the right thing so they both end up with less than the best outcome.

this is in as much the same issue. everyone working in their perceived own best interest is actually a determent to optimal outcome.

There's no longer "an understanding" or a guiding force behind an optimal society. Just a bunch of animals scratching and clawing for "their's" when there's enough for everyone to have more than they need.

Well to be fair, their social calendars are a full time job. Seriously though, I went to daycare as a child and overall think it is good for a child to be exposed to other children and a structured learning environment at a young age.

You made a blanket statement that all homeschooled kids are social outcasts that will not do well in life.

I only need one example to prove you wrong so I only provided one.

I agree

I've seen it with my own daughter. She has thrived at her Montessori school. She is well ahead of my 2 nieces that are a full year older than she is as well, and they both stay home with my sister.
