What is your capacity in dealing with them and what is the problem?

Most are these days because there are very few true craftsman left.

Get used to sub par work and terrible communication.

Painters will give the drywall subs a run for their money all day every day.

You in BR?

I used WallBros drywall to hang, float, and texture walls in three rooms and do some random repairs in ceilings in those three rooms. They were there on time and did a decent job. Like all subs, there are positives/negatives.

Positives:
There on time.
Fast.
Efficient.

Negatives:
I told them I needed the job done by a Monday. They hung the dry wall, then pissed off a day, then floated. Then he tried to tell me it was too wet to sand then texture and he was going to wait. I was there and experienced with drywall, so I knew he was delaying. I told him it was dry and he needed to get the job done. He did. So positive? Negative? I don't know. . .
Covered two electrical boxes. One was a massive three-gang box. I don't know how they missed it. I cut them out once I realized they covered them.
Owner quoted me one price on the phone. Then tried to increase his price by 44%!! Reluctantly, I agreed to pay 25% more than originally quoted to get him out of my house.

Carpenters or drywall typically.

Our floor guy was possibly the best one of them all.

As a side note... if you ever need drywall work done and they are available immediately... hang up the damn phone. Trust me.

just pull up to home depot and pick up a crew of mexicans and "git-er-done"

its going to be just as good, or better then anything you hire a company to do because thats all they are going to do after taking your money.

I agree, especially when you don't speak Mexican.

Moral of the story, there are good and bad subs in EVERY trade. Treat the good ones right and they'll come back, and make your life easier.

A buddy of mine was a project superintendent for a good size local builder on a high end hotel project. There was an issue with a city inspection regarding water intrusion. It ended up with the drywall sub throwing hands in the trailer/office with my buddy.

I told him no wonder you guys use a trailer as your office, trashy mofo.
