The Ford should have GTFO the left lane and definitely sped up after blocking the left lane and helped cause this crash

In door to door racing we like to say, "Make smart life choices, know when to pull out."
Honda sent it in too early, should've stayed on the inside lane (shoulder) longer. That said, when he cleared car 1 and saw the Ford matching speed, he shoulda pulled out. Dude was comitted to the move, I'll give him that.

I agree with this, but at the same time once he passed the first SUV in the video, the truck driver had plenty of time to get behind the 2nd SUV (Jeep?) to let the Accord pass.
But if I'm already going probably 10 or more over the speed limit passing cars at a decent rate, I'm not going back to the right lane only to have to brake, slow down then eventually get back over. That's a bit much.

Are we sure it's not this Florida dipshit again?

I've seen 10 year old first time shooters less afraid of their own weapon.

That's the law. Slower traffic keep right. That means if you have the ability to get over, you get over. Even if you were going to pass the next car. You get over, let the faster car pass, then get back over to pass the next car.
The truck in that video had ample time and space to get over and let the Honda pass. He did not do so, therefore was breaking the law by not yielding to the vehicle traveling faster behind him.
Honda was a dumbfrick and deserved what he got, but the truck was also not following the law by failing to move over to the right lane when he had the opportunity to do so.

That's the law.

lower traffic keep right. That means if you have the ability to get over, you get over.
quote:Left lane is for passing, you can pass that next car. The car wasn't so far in front that you can argue that he was not making a pass.

He sped up to try and kill everyone involved. Knighting for the truck driver is unreal in this situation.

And I never said that. What I said is that if you have a faster vehicle behind you, you pass then get back in the right lane as soon as you are able, let the car behind you pass, then get back over to pass the next car.
You don't just sit in the left lane because you're going to pass the next car. You get back over in the right lane.
quote:
Exactly what I said, if you're not making a pass, get over
Even if you can make a pass, but a faster vehicle is behind you, you let the fast vehicle pass first. See above about sitting in the left lane just because you're passing cars.
quote:
The car wasn't so far in front that you can argue that he was not making a pass.
Ya, you can. The truck clearly had more than enough room to get back in the right lane. He chose not to do so. He was in the wrong. Period.
quote:
He was making a pass.
And as soon as he passed the first car, by law he should have gotten back over in the right lane to let the faster vehicle behind him pass. Then made his next pass of the car in front of him.
It's not only the law, it's just common courtesy.
ETA: You're probably the type of a-hole who has an entire mile of cars behind him in the left lane because "well I'm passing" while you pass car after car by a few mph but refuse to get the frick over and let all the faster traffic behind you go past you.

Common sense and courtesy would tell anyone with a brain to get over in this situation
But keep doing you, Mr. Professional Contrarian

I like how the person is recording this video with his phone but he has a dash cam as well. Seems very dangerous.

This.
There are at least two irresponsible assholes in this scenario. The white truck and the silver Honda are both unquestionably responsible for this road rage incident and the damage that was caused by it.

That crap irritates me too, but damn..... people need anger management.
Edit - As some have said, the truck was at least passing the cars in the right lane, not much sympathy for shoulder pass guy.

Not surprising a used Honda Accord is behind this stupid, and dangerous behavior.
Posted on 2/2/22 at 10:21 am to Strannix
That car is a freakin idiot. Can't stand when people drive like a lunatic an zip in and out of traffic
It's extremely dangerous to do what the truck did also though as annoying as it is you just gotta let those people do what they're going to do he's lucky he didn't get hurt also

got what he deserved. i dont understand the urgency people have when driving. your erratic driving isnt going to save you any time. if you're that much in a rush just leave earlier. Now the guys got a totaled car and probably hospital bills from the look of that.
