I've never once signed an agreement to park in a parking garage or seen anything posted regarding a car being stuck in the garage for months. The only thing I've seen close to that is along the lines of not responsible for stolen items

What do you want people to do that work in areas that a bus will not take them to? Relying on uber is incredibly expensive and inefficient to take every single day. These are issues precisely because we have built around cars.

The mongoloid creatures that are currently on the bus would not be mongoloid creatures. Do you know why? Because people who currently have means and separate themselves would be forced onto the public transportation, meaning that higher standards would exist. If pedestrian and cycling infrastructure exist, more people walk and ride their bike as well. That means a lower obesity rate. That means smarter people. That means better civic engagement. That means more common sense lawmaking. That means lower crime, more community pride, better schools, more parks, more beautification.

There would be no ubers. There would be rail lines and busses. There would be cycling paths with communities built around the places they need to go.

All of the things that you hate about the United States can be closely tied to the automobile. The fact that you can't understand this is part of the issue.

Cities that focus on reducing automobile traffic see a rise in their quality of life. I am sorry that fact hurts your feelings.

I’m not arguing that we shouldn’t have more pedestrian and bike accessible communities. I think they are great. However, I don’t think it will create a close to utopian society like you have described. Big cities that are much more pedestrian friendly tend to have a much higher drug and homeless problem - and they don’t typically even have cars.

You made the comment along the lines of requiring rigorous testing and only able to drive on private property- let’s not pretend that MORE government regulation is a good thing. Taking away the ability to go where I want, when I want, however far I want to go is definitely taking away freedom- I’d love to see a train or a bus back my boat into the water. I’d love to see a train or bus pull a camper out into a national park. You take away vehicles, you take away the ability to do a lot of things that people like to do that don’t revolve around parks and cities but need a vehicle to get you/equipment there. Or are you saying those things should go away with the cars?
