Just got the last present under the tree, are the cookies, drank the milk and now in bed. Not as much to put together (or at least not the most complicated) but still hard to do it as quiet as possible.

my son made 4 this past October. His 6yo cousin made sure to drill it in his head tonight at Reveillon that Santa isn't real and explained to him how it's all fake.

Kinda a bummer

Playing the waiting game as I’ve heard my daughter’s room door open/shut several times. Told my wife plan on getting up around 4 am.

My kids are grown now and doing their on thing; but when they were younger, it was a blast to blow off some fireworks with them on Christmas Eve. I really miss those days.
Now, it’s dead around here. We always had fun and were respectful enough to shut it down by 10:00. I sure miss those times with my son’s.
Enjoy them while you can.
The fireworks are lighting a path for Santa.

Just got done. Wrapped all the boxed items and put together his 24 volt tractor.

Now to take a nap before starting the ham at 530.

Don't remind me. I did a Barbie Princess castle several years ago. You would have thought the thing was some German-engineered machinery with the amount of pieces and convoluted instructions that came with it.

Without a doubt, the worst thing I ever put together for the kids for Christmas. I was cussing like a sailor at 2:30 in the morning ready to just give up. Got her done though.

That is pretty shitty. I would have a talk with his parents to get them to knock that off.

What an awesome tradition, I’m going to start doing that.

I have two girls (3&1) and can hopefully get a bunch of years out of the letters.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Thank God we didn’t have much to assemble and had our Santa display out around midnight…. Our kids ran into the living room screaming at 1:30 am. We were somehow able to corral them back to bed, and they were up again at 5:30 ready to start the day. Kids are 5 & 7 - these truly are the best years. Merry Christmas everyone!

In bed at 2 am and up at 7. Not too bad.

Even last night my wife said we really don’t have to give this. I said it’s ok. Kids will be excited.

1st Christmas as a dad

No late night toy assemblies yet as he's only 1 month old but can't wait for all the ones to come.
